Not really. You have a presser, make your statement (which says nothing of substance other than you're not pursuing criminal charges), take questions (which you mostly don't answer) and you're done. Issue a press release, and you have the press continuing to hound you for the next few days asking you why you didn't charge him. If you want to have fun with your press conference, bring in Drew Rosenhaus to say "next question" to every question you don't want to answer.

ESPN reported earlier her blood alcohol level was a .046 and there were no drugs in her system, both of which go against her story.
 
Perhaps the only good thing to come of this is that we don't have to hear any more BS about what a high character kid Winston is.

At first I read this as .46 as opposed to .046 which made me think damn if she was that drunk, there is no way she could legally consent. But .046 is probably like 1-2 beers for a chick, right?

In the case file under evidence not to file charges, it says "FSU is only 2 wins from national title."

Meggs supposedly has a history of going after FSU players for much less so not sure your argument holds water at least in regards to the DAs office

Actually, Meggs has a very good reputation as a State Attorney for someone who treats every case the same regardless of who the person is. Understandably, in Tallahassee, that may be interpreted as "going after" FSU players....but, in reality, it's just that they're treated like everyone else.
