Why again is Mike White such a good canddiate?
Because he was the lead recruiter at a school that recruited such hot shit talent that they never made the NCAA tournament? Or that fact that he would never want to come to a place that places any kind of academic restrictions on the kids he brings in, considering that his currently recruiting experience has been at Ole Miss and La Tech?
I'll never understand what you White Mike lovers see in him.
Tulsa was going to put together a package around a million. I would imagine we're at $1.3-1.5 on him.
I wonder if Manning will be asked to retain the assistants.
This coaching search has been like the end of the movie Major League.
Wellman called his shot, pointed at the bleachers, and then laid down a bunt.
Only assholes will crucify Manning before he has a chance to bring in his players.
He's no one's first choice, but he does have a name and a track record.

Doesn't sound like a done deal.
Danny Manning is visiting the Wake Forest campus on Wednesday, and sources told ESPN.com that he intends to make a decision whether to remain at Tulsa or take over the Demon Deacons program in the next 24 hours.
Danny Manning led Tulsa to a 21-13 mark and a berth in the NCAA tournament this season.
Sources told ESPN.com that Manning met with Wake Forest athletic director Ron Wellman in Indianapolis on Monday, and was set to go to Winston-Salem on Wednesday. Sources also told ESPN.com that Manning had a meeting with Tulsa on Tuesday -- and the school has put together a strong financial package in an effort to retain the former Kansas star.
All you assholes who are mad upset about Manning are going to be real pissed when we hire my boi Russell Turner.O god...I just had a horrible thought. What if he turns us down?
It happened with Nolan Richardson when he went to Arkansas. It happened with Tubby Smith when he went to Georgia. It happened with Steve Robinson when he went to Florida State. It happened with Bill Self when he went to Illinois. It even happened with Buzz Peterson when he went to Tennessee.
It didn’t work out for everyone. Peterson was two games over .500 before he was fired in Knoxville and still hasn’t been to the NCAA Tournament since before he arrived in Tulsa. Robinson was 22 games under .500 before he got fired in Tallahassee and has been an assistant coach ever since.
One part of the dilemma is that all those talented, young coaches wanted to climb the career ladder of success — and with good reason. Richardson won a national championship at Arkansas, Smith won a national championship at his next stop, Kentucky, and Self won a national championship at his next stop, Kansas.
