Best Pizza you've ever had

Pepe's in New Haven is good. Connecticut is a terrible place to live, but it's an awesome pizza state. There are at least four places in West Hartford that are probably better than anything you can get in your shitty hometown.

I've got fuzzy feelings about Santarpio's in Boston, but they're not as consistent as they once were.

Had a couple of very nice pies at Co. in Chelsea a few months ago. Just tried Tony's in San Francisco and had a fine pizza, too.

Blondie's in SF.
Geno's East in Chicago

Ill have to try Co. Thanks for the rec

Pequod's or Malnatis in Chicago.

For chains, I was turned on to Cottage Inn in Ann Arbor and make my mother in law bring it uncooked from Columbus Oh to Chicago whenever she visits.

I really did like 2 Amy's in DC- I went on the board's suggestion. I've probably had better, but after having walked a mile+ in great anticipation of the pizza (no close metro stop FTL), it was absolutely wonderful and the crust was perfect.
Just went to Ken's Artisan Pizza here in Portland last night, it was also absolutely fantastic- same neapolitan-style pizza, baked in a wood fire oven... cool restaurant in general in a neat area of town.
The pizza I had in rome was also delicious, generic place near my hostel; I was pretty drunk but at the time definitely thought it was the greatest pizza I'd ever had.

As several people have noted, Mack's in Stone Harbor is fantastic pizza and the best on the island. Circle makes a damn good pie but Mack's is better.

I've been to Grimaldi's (the one in Hoboken) and it was also amazing.

Should have clairfied that I still do eat circle pizza. And I will pay whatever they ask around 2:30 am after chilling at the Whitebrier.

Difficult question for anyone who grew up in Jersey.

I like munchie's Piza here in HB. they have great cheese and toppings with a slighlty sweet sauce.

Shakespeare's Pizza in Columbia, MO (town where Mizzou is).

Yeah, it's BFE Missouri. But my god, I've never had better pizza. It blew my mind how good it was. Even though it's tough to compare styles, it was better than anything I remember having in Italy (though it was much thicker crust). Apparently it's consistently voted one of the best college town food hangout-type places annually.

I can't really recall, there are so many kinds and styles of pizza to really say what's the best....am more appropriate answer would be what pizza do you like the best, but even that's difficult to answer

There are some pizza milestones in my life, life the first time I had burke street and at the time it was probably the best pizza i'd ever had. I recognize that it's not the best pizza, but it's damn good, it's just the first time I'd had seemingly legitimate NY style pizza. (even New Yorkers agree that it's at least passable). Barley's pizza in Asheville can be spectacular (it's always good, but sometimes they get it just right and it's amazing) and when coupled with a fresh pitcher of your favorite beer it's hard to beat. I've been to NYC and eaten some good pizza, can't really remember the names of places, but it's been good. In Africa, while out in the bush, our cook made a deep dish pizza with tin foil over an open fire, it was quite good, but even better considering what he had to work with.

Amen sir!

My good friend makes a ridiculously good home made pizza. Jack Bauer is it's name. Best I've ever had.

Parmesan/Sage Sauce: Sage, grated Parmesan, Heavy cream
Shallots
Minced garlic
Angel hair pasta
Monterrey (pepper) jack cheese
Crushed red pepper
Sweet or Mild Italian sausage
Roasted red peppers

Been there. It's good. Not
