What are the cool spots in Durham now. My brother just moved there, but he has terrible taste in hangout spots and cultural pursuits.

Can we please just get ITK and El Chupe to hook up already? This sexual tension is UNBEARABLE.

Yup. That and paying for parking are why I am over this place. And other reasons....

Our pension plan does not require employee contributions . . . yet. That's coming soon. It will be 5% in a couple years but we're going to do raises to offset it for employees.

We have to contribute like 11% of our pretax salary so I have quite a bit.

I probably wouldn't take any out if I left after 10, it would just be nice to get that extra bump vested for when I do retire. We also get longevity pay starting at 10 years, which means a straight cash homey check for 1.5% of my salary every year. If only this library didn't try to ruin everything for everyone all the time and was a cool place to work like it used to be.

whew!! ran into the suitor in the hallway and managed totally clear things up.

...basically i apologized for being awkward, wanted to be clear that I do have a boyfriend, but that if he ever wanted to go for a run or something that'd be fine - just not drinks.
All is well in the world.

The pension is pretty sweet. For me, it kind of makes up for the lower pay in local government.

same, though I've gotta say that I think I'm compensated pretty fairly given my experience (mediocre) and education (lots).

Nothing gets a guy more excited than sober platonic exercise.

Lucky bastard. That's why I want out of mine. I feel like its a gamble for a state retirement plan to remain solvent for the next 30 years but it was really my money I contributed....so I would rather roll it all into an IRA and direct it myself.

My city has it's own plan which is very stable, unlike some of the stuff with the Virginia Retirement System that happened under Governor Bob.

Is this post intended to ridicule my burglarized house from two weeks ago? Or to imply that my declaration of love went too far?

Didn't check yes or no, so there must be a chance!

Neither! I was just giving you another reason to fall in love with me
