Charleston

I had a mostly forgettable meal at Macintosh. My wife's scallops, triggerfish and potatoes were worth the price though. I enjoyed the bar scene and atmosphere of the place. It is tiny.

Can you give me four? We are having trouble finding a place where we can get a reservation for 8 people on a Friday night. We are willing to eat late (9:00 or after)...

Can't wait to meet the family!

I'd go to any of: Stars, Edmund's Oast, The Grocery, The Macintosh, SNOB, High Cotton, Hank's, Cypress

ETA: Also, the usual suspects: McCrady's, Fig, Husk, The Ordinary

I don't think Husk will take a party of 8. It may be obvious, but you'll need to call rather than using OpenTable.

I'm high on Leon's right now; dining room is very well done and the food is delicious. I particularly like the siam salad there.

Also had a very good meal at 492 King a few weeks ago; they can seat a larger party (assuming they have availability). Keep in mind, 492 is small plates, so good for sharing, or be prepared for each person to order a few courses.

Thanks. We tried SNOB, High Cotton, Fig and McCrady's and couldn't get in - as well as a couple of other places like 82 Queen. We have eaten at Star's before and wanted something new - we might go there for drinks...

Brews - funny. Not the whole family, my wife and younger daughter are going down with a couple of friends next weekend to see the other daughter... I'll be sure to tell you where they are not eating...

Hitting the road in an hour or so. Assuming no substantial traffic, we should arrive just in time for a pop and some togo from HomeTeam.
