Merion. Whew. Kicked my ass but what an experience. Quarry hole is the real deal.

Thought you were a socialist, hedonist, feminist ? Why are you playing capitalist, misogynistc venues?

Got my 3rd eagle of the summer. Last year I had 6 during the summer but this year has been much different. Holed out from 165 and 175 as well as a chip in on a par 5. Interesting year to say the least.

I had a weird round over the weekend that was the opposite of this. I could not hit a green to save my life - even my good shots would airmail the green by 10 yards (unfamiliar course, plus I was very rusty). But, I had 12 1-putts, including 7 in a row on the back nine. Some was good chipping but I made a bunch of 6-10 footers. I still shot 81 because I had 4 doubles (1 OB, 2 water and 1 basic screwed-up hole).

Like I said at the end of that post golf is a weird game. Didn't play for 2 weeks because of the weather and go out and have 5 birdies with 2 fairways and fucked up on a few holes bad to shoot 76. I really hate this game sometime.

FIFY

Got in 9 after work yesterday.... Shot a 39 with a double and a triple....

Holy shit I wish I had 24 friends who played golf. I wish I had maybe 6 friends in my AREA who want to play golf regularly...

I was down there last weekend. We played Kings North at MB National on Friday - it had just re-opened after the storm. It recovered pretty well. Really nice. Then we played River Hills on Sat. am - I wasn't expecting too much but it was actually pretty nice. We had a really enjoyable round with good weather and no waiting. Which was unlike the Kings North round where the front nine took 2:50.

We drove by Aberdeen CC and it was UNDER WATER - like entire holes along the round were invisible, with just the top of the flag sticking out.

Yeah it's pretty cool; failed to mention that we start with a round Friday in Atlantic City (Balamoor); fly to Myrtle Sat morning returning the following Saturday night; final round Sunday in AC (Sea Oaks) All week is computerized, we throw in $200/man and play a different format each day.

Come join us; we can fit ya in....

Good lord. Maybe someday...

Join a country club. We have large groups that do trips like that too.

Pulled the trigger on the M1 after hitting it on the monitor. Upgraded from the SLDR. Nearly 10 yards longer for me and seems more forgiving. I like the feel better too. Hit several shafts and ended up going with the fujikura pro 60 in x flex. The R15 was actually inferior to sldr for me, but the m1 is legit

Yep, the M1 head is the first thing they've made better than the SLDR in my opinion.

My wife drove down to Sunset Beach today and mentioned that Aberdeen was underwater.

I was still a little overwhelmed.... Couldn't type...

Double with a back-handed 1 hand 9 iron out of the shit.... Triple with an 8-iron in my hand in the fairway...

Just bought the Ping G30 hybrid. At least for me, it's the best hybrid I've ever hit. I hit it high and can get out of the rough with it. I had hoped for that from prior hybrids but without much luck. Tried this at a simulator near me and it's awesome. Miraculously it carried over to the course.

Dad: How's your driver looking? (5 year old Titleist 910 D3)
Me: It's ok... why?
Dad: well I just won some money in a tournament...
Me: MY DRIVER SUCKS SO FUCKIN BAD!!!! I NEED A NEW ONE AND IRONS!!!!

That will definitely happen someday. Hard to do in NoVA though, especially at 32.

It might not be as hard as you think. A lot of private clubs are hurting and are open to negotiation when it comes to bringing in new members. Not top tier clubs, but a lot of good clubs with decent amenities. Many also have junior membership deals for new members under the age of 35.

You should look into it if you're interested in playing private club golf.

I still have my Taylormade Burner Superfast 3H that I've tried replacing 3 times and I just can't. Man I love that club.
