I noticed Rondale did not enter the game. Was he on the bench? I'm wondering if a transfer is in process. Any info?
 
Still looking for defense to improve. We have weapons on offense. Need to come together as a unit on the other end.

When Collins is in there I want him fed again and again. I don't believe he was in foul trouble last night. He needs to get his looks.
 
Collins is awesome. Huge get for us. But he limits his own minutes with dumb fouls that get him in foul trouble. I'm sure it's just part of being a freshman.

I'd be fine if he played a "walk-on" type game, but he jacked up a contested 3 early in the shot clock last night---which is just ridiculous considering he is shooting 1 of 9---only time all night I yelled at the computer. I appreciate his service early in year but it is no longer necessary.

DM doesn't want JC to get enough minutes to really showcase his talents , thus keeping JC out of the one and done crowd.

I think you're on to something there. Manning would've no doubt limited his minutes to garbage time to keep him from being a one and done, that's the ticket!

I joked about this with some friends last week. He's pulling a Dean Smith to MJ on us here... :tard:
 
In all seriousness, if the guy can learn to limit his dumb fouls, we wouldn't be having this discussion. He'd be seeing 25 mpg
 
There are 2 things keeping JC from more minutes.

Fouls
Other players - DT & Dinos are going to get their minutes

Collins may very well take minutes from Dinos as the season goes on, but I still think this team benefits from The Greek's ability to shoot the 3. Yeah, he's streaky (and a minus defender), but that's a shot we can get pretty much whenever... And if he's hot, it's a huge boost.

Oh, and for all of his talent, JC is still a freshman that hasn't even played a conference game yet. There will continue to be growing pains... Great games and poor games.

I'm fine with this if it means Collins hits the national championship winning bucket as a freshman, wins some national POY awards as a soph then is unanimous NPOY as a junior.

There has to be some crazy reason Collins plays only 12-15 minutes per game. It's a head scratcher.
