Ohio State Somali Knife Wielder Confirmed To Be Terrorist

No. No its not. Black folks don't ever have a reason to be frustrated with a) white people b) the police or c) how the country treats them. There is no evidence that black folks have ever been treated unfairly or maliciously by any of those groups, so they need to shut up.

I thought I made a simple in-context post. Strange to see it misinterpreted. I was referring to how the cause of violence in the court of public opinion depends on race/religion. Roof is a terrorist who was self-radicalized by white nationalist websites and propaganda. Yet nobody attributes his crimes to his race, religion, or even his political beliefs. He's just considered to be a guy with issues, not a symptom of any larger problem.

But this Somali knife wielder is considered to be a terrorist just because he's Muslim. Even though he may just be a disaffected college kid with issues. Probably should wait for the facts here.

We took KSM alive, too. Not everything is an opportunity to be offended.

My bad.

stop you saw a fellow liberal being misunderstood and you tried to help by exposing more racism. You did good.

No. No. No. No. FUCK no. That is not it. It is not "not everything is an opportunity to be offended." The correct answer is there is never an opportunity to be offended. Never. Ever.

I have found being productive more valuable than being offended, but celebrate your right to disagree.

Appraise the value in getting offended for me.

For you? Not sure there is much. For members of non-dominant groups, it can focus productivity toward social change. Appraise the cost of getting offended for anyone.

Phdeac sees this headline and is compelled to bring up Dylan Roof. Because....?

Worshipping the false idol of butthurt carries an opportunity cost and a disabling, poisonous and usually false message.

Funny, I don't remember such a zen-like position from you during Ph's posts after the Dallas police shooting. Or during the Duke Lacrosse scandal. Nice to see you have magically matured when it fits your argument.

I literally know nobody IRL or on these boards that dispute this point. Maybe some backwoods rubes do, but public opinion seems to be on your side with this one. It seems literally everyone has associated this crime with race, and radicalized political (if you want to call it that) beliefs.

I am legitimately curious how you feel religion has anything to do with the crimes Roof committed. I don't remember seeing anything about him being religious or the shootings to be religiously motivated. (besides the obvious it happened in a church angle)
