I notice that they've pre-selected the word "socialism" as a new substitute, but have no examples yet. #edgeofmyseat

Fantasy football is a form of gambling that is heavily promoted during NFL broadcasts, and played by an estimated 56 million Americans in 2015.[2] This game fleeces the average participant of about $500 and also alienates his attention away from his work, his family, and the Bible.[2] (!!!) The game is played as a virtual version of the football season in the NFL.
The NFL seeks to hook elementary school children on fantasy football by making it part of the math curriculum, thereby locking in the next generation of addicted television watchers of NFL games.[3] (!!!!!)
People waste a total of about $15 billion annually now on all fantasy sports in the United States, and the vast majority of that (about $11 billion) is on fantasy football based on real NFL games. This is more than the NFL's total annual revenue, which is about $10 billion. These costs do not include the lost time wasted on this gambling activity, which is probably worth even more.
Conservative seminaries are teaching Greek all the time. Shouldn't be that hard.
I guess I just thought anybody with a div school education would be too smart for this. Also, ancient greek is pretty tough, actually, and I'm not sure any div school degree is going to give you the kind of training you'd need to do a large scale translation project. They'd have to rely pretty heavily on other translations.
I would offer that the distinction between divinity schools and seminaries are pretty important here. That being said, there is a tradition of evangelical seminaries doing some fairly rigorous Ancient Greek and Hebrew scholarship over the years. Now what they do with the context of the translations is a different situation altogether.
Nice, i don't know much about that distinction. I assume you get a degree in theology from a divinity school and training for orders (or its protestant equivalent) from a seminary? To what end do they utilize that linguistic training?
RevDeac has posted some interesting close readings over the years, but i don't have the languages to properly scrutinize them. If he ever wants to talk about my boys Jerome and Wycliffe though, I'm so in.
Keep in mind RevDeac is an Episcopalian and thus, going to hell.

http://www.conservapedia.com/Lesbianism_and_ObesityIn 2013, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) reported that 75% of American lesbians are obese.[2][3] In April 2007, the American Journal of Public Health analyzed data from 2002 National Survey of Family Growth and the data suggested that American lesbian women were 2.69 times more likely to be overweight and 2.47 times more likely to be obese than all other female sexual orientation groups. [1] The abstract for this study indicated that "lesbians are at greater risk for morbidity and mortality linked to overweight and obesity." [1]
