Props to Wolford

My favorite part is that Lamar got all butt hurt that Clawson supposedly called him out for not being an NFL caliber player and then we go and smoke their asses. Beating those dickwads was hands down my favorite win of the season...Saturday could change that.

Jackson: 10 games; 212-352 (60.2%) for 21 TDs to 6 INTs; 22 sacks; 178 rushes for 1176 yards (6.6 YPC) and 15 TDs; 85.6 adjusted QBR

Wolford: 9 games; 172-264 (65.2%) for 20 TDs to 3 INTs; 10 sacks; 105 rushes for 536 yards (5.1 YPC) and 10 TDs; 83.5 adjusted QBR

Jackson is having a slightly better year, but I'll admit the stats are closer than I anticipated when I pulled them up.

Now that's an amusing thought...Lamar Jackson enrolled at Wake.

Why? He qualified out of HS and is from an area where WF heavily recruits: Florida. Is there some back story that would make Lamar Jackson at WF an impossibility?

It's not like WF and L'ville never go after the same recruits. Matt Colburn was a L'ville commit until Petrino pulled his ship thinking he could offer someone better.

Prettttty sure just a lil low key racism.

I'm sorry, can someone tell me which post(s) were potentially racist so I can make sure I don't violate the PC policy of some of the posters? I am really having trouble keeping score with who is the true arbiter of what is deemed racist and what is not. Very confusing for some of us less enlightened than others, and a real conundrum for us "slower" ones on the uptake

I read it as laughing at having an actual Heisman winner on a Wake Football team, but maybe I'm too optimistic.

The one that said Lamar Jackson could not cut it at Wake.

Whew, thought possibly I had the wrong one. Perhaps the best policy is just to have this unique ability to see into someone's heart and brain? Or maybe just accept at face value what people post without assigning one's personal meaning/belief to it, unless it is overt to everyone? Perhaps I will just stick to sports posts and leave the divining to others as it is hard for me to determine intent from an anonymous post

Also the one where the poster suggested that Coach Manning was a "PC hire," as well as the one poster stated that we should play the white guys on the basketball team because diversity matters.

I was about to post that. That shit is popping up on a bunch of threads and the racist tags are even more common. Maybe the racists shitbags are feeling emboldened by the current political climate? Sucks to see it here, plays into so many stereotypes about Wake. Maybe they're all just Russian trolls.

If I read it incorrectly, my b.

The phrase of “enrolled at Wake” makes me think it’s about the academics more so than playing ability.

Babers said this today: “The biggest thing is is that Wolford is not Lamar. Lamar is the raining Heisman Trophy winner and he does everything better than the quarterback at Wake Forest,”

Does he forget that Wolford torched them for 6 tds?

He's just preparing the press and his fans........ as he's anticipating Lamar getting 8-10 touchdowns this weekend.

Slightly better? Jackson has 700 more passing yards, 600 more rushing yards, 6 more Total TDs and only 3 more INTs? I'll take Jackson in a landslide. But I think Wolford is having a great year.

Wolford torched Jackson for 6 tds? I don't remember Jackson playing Defense that game. Jackson did have 491 yards of total offense and 4 tds himself though.
