Bama hasn't done shit all year and it will show in the playoff. All three are bad match-ups for them, but Clemson is probably the worst.
...Were people punishing Clemson for a similarish win over State? Don't think so...
Sure that was terrible. But, Ohio St was 2-1 against top 10 teams. And has a conf championship. Bama was 0-1. Those should easily outweigh one bad loss, given the committee's published criteria for selection.
State playing Arizona State in the Sun.
Lol, Pack.
ETA 2: Not sure if Clemson is the best comparison. They'd already beaten 2 top 15 teams, UL in a blowout and VT by 2 TDs on the road before they played State.
Those two teams they beat are garbage.
The SEC outside of 3 teams is absolute garbage.
I'm not saying their resumes are similar, I'm just pointing out the fallacy of attempting to portray a road win over a top 25 team as anything other than a good thing.
I like living in a world where losing 55-24 to Iowa has consequences
It’s weird that Alabama is the Vegas favorite.
The rumor is 2 of the 3 injured starting linebackers Alabama has played without since the opening game with FSU will be back at full speed for the playoffs. They were sorely missed all season and perhaps a much improved Alabama defense will play in the Sugar Bowl. Perhaps this is the thinking in Vegas...
I was really hoping for a State-Purdue matchup in the Pinstripe Bowl. Bummed
If you're referring to us, we were favored in the game.
You did outplay us though and shot yourselves in the foot
The "Marcus Ginyard effect" is back!
But seriously, we're supposed to believe players got hurt during the first game of the season and didn't redshirt or medical redshirt? They're going to burn a year of eligibility now?
I guess if those aren't options they have to play, but I don't really see how guys that haven't played in months will give them the best chance to shut down Clemson's offense.
