I thought Washington missed some practice this week for an injury. Maybe I misread.
At this point if we just have an average to above average game manager at QB, a defense who knows their assignments, and a middle of the pack kicking game, then we will win 8-9 games.
I feel like our front 7 will get a lot of pressure on opposing QB’s and our Secondary will hold their own. Skill players will be top-5 ACC good. Offensive line will dominate and help our rushing game do the same.
All comes back to now t having drastic drop off in QB play. Should be a fun season nonetheless.
Man, I love reading this. Who'da thought LOWF would recruit and develop a dominant OL? :dancindeac:
What does the future OL depth chart look like in 2019 and beyond? What can we expect the next 3 years?
The good news is that they aren't having to play as inexperienced freshmen or sophomores.
The next group are all getting several years of strength and conditioning training as well as some playoff experience before they come in next year as starters. Not quite 'reloading' but hopefully not a tremendous drop off either.

Dave Clawson has done a really nice job at Wake Forest. It doesn’t make matters easier in this deep division or that projected starting QB Kendall Hinton is suspended for the first three games that including a tricky opener at Tulane and a game against BC. Plus, Notre Dame is lurking in Hinton’s first game back.
Another good thing about 2019 is we will not be breaking in a new QB to go along with inexperiened/freshman OL (regardless of who wins the QB battle). Both the QB and OL should be somewhat “experienced.”
Wolford and Hinton took the majority of the meaningful snaps at QB. I would still view our QBs as being fairly green at this point, but Clawson moving Hinton to WR says the kids must be ready.
I am talking 2019 (next season). Hinton/Hartman/Newman will be the starter. Along with Gilliam, Nash, Benzinger, and other OLs who have been in the program a while.
Bruce Feldman predicts a 6-6, 3-5 finish for Wake. His write-up via TheAthletic:
