IASIP Mafia - GAME OVER Timdunk wins

damn, good game to all -- especially tim

i was actually on a call from 3:00 til 4:25, so i really wasn't around

was goaliemom the waitress then?

Thanks for the game, ryala. Not to bitch too much about balance, but civs should be able to miss 3-4 lynches and still win. Civs missed twice and lost.

I thought about calling out tim's claim as vanilla because no way was there another vanilla left, but it led down a path of claiming myself that i did not want to go

also, can we talk about how badly the other mafia fucked up night 4?

good lord

GG Tim. Congrats.

Nonny, i will go to my grave saying that following JTP there was awful. For you to come back ready to run up GM on JTPs word was ... just wow.

And i wasn't against the deal. What i was dead set against was following what he said. I was playing the middle. I switched to no vote to avoid the majo and of course i was worried he had someone on our maf. So of course I was positioning the deal in a more negative light. But if i was a civ i would have been hard against it because it was information not worth having. You can't trust any maf there and you damned sure can't trust JTP there. Its just WIFOM and the town goes in circles.

Tell us about it.

Civ lynches were good. The problem (and maybe a problem with game design) was that EVERYTHING else went against civs. Civ vig had knight on D1 and got jailed, indy hits were on civs, Dennis picked a civ as his lover, and only one cross hit. I think I expected more maf to die from those

Thanks Ryala. Congrats Tim. I knew one of Tim or Nonny had to be lying but I chose poorly. Parlay I figured you were the odd night protection/whatever when you posted incorrectly about that at the beginning of the round, but I didn't want to call attention to it.

Which powers did Tim use?

Well played Parlay. I’m sure you saved me a couple of times.

No idea. If nonny came back as the indy (as I thought he would), I was going to protect Tim. Sorry nonny but looks like even if I moved, it wouldn't have mattered.

Tell us about it.

we had taken out the even night protection and they were up to hit

instead of hitting you, they hit freaking gooner and you nailed jterp that night

so they didn't even transfer the GF role to the right person

We had an uphill climb for sure. I thought we played a good game and we still had problems.

Well played Parlay. I’m sure you saved me a couple of times.

We jailed you on every night Parlay could've protected you after you claimed. And then we had to go for the other maf on N7.

Well played, tim. The object thing was smart rather than using the fake claim given to you. I had a strong read on you as indy until then but not sure it would have mattered anyways.

BYM - strong game good investigations. Not sure how you would have handled the final day?

GM - Why didn't you consider lynching Juice that last round? I don't think I even heard an argument for why I was actually indy. And did my logic for why it was beneficial to kill mafia juice first ring hollow?

Parlay - this loss is on you.

Ryala - thanks for running! Well run, even the morning rounds for you.

I sucked all game long on calls. The final hit on parlay was my call. I can't stop reading you dirty, old man.

To be fair, we killed our recruitable with our N1 hit. Woof.

Who called the hit on me so i can know my policy lynch next game.

I think the expectation of cross-hits in two mafia games is overstated. Maybe it happens once or twice early but as the game goes on, mafia is worried about killing the cleared civs. So many games there aren't any.

I was hoping someone would correct it or claim it.

Yes, that's probably right. GM was set.

Also, GM's post saying she thought Tim or Parlay were the last mafia really through me for a loop.

This is right. There is more to be gained as nonny pointed out on using your day actions to find maf.

Its a moderate risk really early (D1/2) but once the field narrows cross-hits become a unicorn until the endgame.

Didn't ever use the BPV.

N1 - Tried to kill townie (blocked by parlay)
N2 - Killed townie, tried to investigate toogs (toogs was jailed by gat, returned no result)
N3 - nothing
N4 - Tracked gat (saw gat jail juice)
N5 - Nothing
N6 - Frame GM, watch mako (both did nothing)
N7 - Nothing
N8 - Nothing
N9 - Shapeshift into doofus (hit juice), hit GM (blocked by parlay)
