Get well wishes for #99 for NC State

Is there a rule for offensive players who are injured at the end of a game, so they don’t stop the clock if they’re out of timeouts?

There’s a 10 second runoff or something, right?

Yeah. Or they can call a timeout.

Wonder if he gets credits for his acting classes after his performance last night.

Right. That’s why only defensive players would be required to sit out a series.

The bind that I recognize the NCAA is in is that it’s an incredible dangerous sport and injuries do happen. I’d hate to incentivize hiding or gutting through legitimate injuries, so a rule needs to accommodate that. Especially for the QB who is obviously the least replaceable player for a series.

Do a little hockey take off- hurt and you have to have play stopped- you sit out the next two or three minutes or however minutes of game time in the recovery/ health safety box. Player is really hurt he needs some time for evaluation and recovery. Player safety. He is faking he can use the time to text his friends as he sits and watches the game.

LOL, you people are actually advocating for a rule that would disproportionately hurt Wake, while helping teams with 4-star rotation players sitting on the bench.

I know how much this board loves Nasir Greer, so what if Greer got the wind knocked out of him or twisted an ankle and legitimately could not get up and they had to stop the game for him to get off the field on the first play of a drive with Wake up 68-60 with 39 seconds left ? You people are supporting his staying on the sideline for the rest of the game.

If the same player keeps causing injury timeouts, but is always back in the game a few plays later, then yeah something needs to be done about it. The game lasted over 4 hours last night because of that crap.

I don't disagree that something needs to be done, because the problem is obvious; but please think through the repercussions of the proposed solutions.

Also, if you just slowed the offenses down, this wouldn't be a problem. Again, you have to consider the repercussions.

As many times as that kid went down last night, he's bound to be looking at a long recovery or an academy award.

So who is on point for collecting for the vase of pansies we send to Doeren and #99 saying even their pitiful fraudulent tactics weren’t enough.

A big problem with this is TV. Its one thing for a guy to go down for 30 seconds or so, but most of the time it leads to the red clock guy coming out for a 3 minute TV timeout and totally kills momentum. I think if a guy causes 3 injury timeouts, the next one he's out for the game. If a player knows this they will figure out not to waste them for fake injuries.

Biff wants wake’s advantage taken away, doesn’t care bc he’s a Georgia fan first

Meh. I just said that it wouldn't hurt Georgia as much as it would Wake.

In the interest of player safety, a player who suffers a second or subsequent injury should be examined by a physician in the locker room. Doc would have to OK continued participation. Make the Doc neutral, part of the referee crew or something.

Wake’s edge in the hurry up offense would definitely be hurt more than teams who can mix in hurry up when they want but don’t need it

Teams with a bunch of four and five stars don’t need to fake injuries anyway

Just go post on the UGA boards already

State had 3 crucial timeouts at the end of the game because they had 9 free timeouts granted.

Another deterrent is to not allow injured player's team to huddle with coaches.
