NFL Year 2021 Superbowl LVI. Rams win! Wolford gets a ring!.

Jags fire Urban.

Only the Jaguars could pull off this level of incompetence. You truly have to acknowledge greatness when you see it.

imagining Mrs. Meyer bitterly packing away those hundreds of framed photos on the coffee table

I love everything about how Shad Khan worded this announcement

Darrell Bevell will serve as interim head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars for the balance of the 2021 season. Darrell succeeds Urban Meyer. After deliberation over many weeks and a thorough analysis of the entirety of Urban’s tenure with our team, I am bitterly disappointed to arrive at the conclusion that an immediate change is imperative for everyone

I was at the gym last night when I saw the scroll about Trevor Lawrence saying if the team was going to win, the drama needed to stop, and then a bit later I saw story about the kicker. I was like, yep, the dam has broken and Urban is done. Just didn't think it would be that very night.

Legit don’t understand why Urban didn’t just take one of the big college jobs this cycle. He wouldn’t even have had to take a pay cut. Aside from failing miserably he just looked totally despondent the whole time.

Like most football coaches he is a sociopath without a shred of self awareness who is pathologically unable to admit he is wrong or failing.

Winning is easy but losing shows you for who you are and Urban Meyer is a douchbag.

Even better yet, he's now stuck in the wilderness. All the big time college jobs have been filled. Maybe Nebraska will open up next year. Who knows?

Because he's a walking Title IX violation and based on his brief tenure in Jacksonville, there's no evidence that he'd even be able to relate to the high school and college football players of today, despite his past success. can you imagine paying him $8 million a year and turning him loose on your boosters a month after he got caught groping a woman at a bar in early October.

If he coaches again it will be at Missouri State or something.

We are still talking about college football right? I can imagine exactly that happening. He would probably be best served to lay low indefinitely and count his money at this point though.

Yes. And, he's read his own press clippings to the point he thinks he can do anything and it will be right because it's him.

Are you kidding me? That story with the girl in Columbus doesn't even register if he's coaching at OSU. And none of the other stuff would either. Meyer will lay low for probably two years to let some of this stuff die down and then be back on a big-time college sideline.
