The Pit Parenting Thread

Yeah kids are lowkey worse at games like that than you feel like you were at that age. GF has a 4 year old and it’s painful since the others in our blend (8, 8, 11) are reasonably good.
 
My 9 year old is insanely good at games. Ever since he was a toddler, he's won every board game the first we've played it. He stomped away because he lost a game of Exploding Kittens he got for Christmas. Yes, this is the same kid who beat Breath of the Wild when he was 5 before he could even read.
 
3yo loves to roughhouse but she knees me in the beanbag on like a weekly basis
 
Also just got a message from Daycare about a COVID case in the infant room so now both my kids are quarantined until the 25th. Fuuuuck

We had some friends come over to our house and they spanked one of their kids while here. It was a bit uncomfortable.

We don’t spank, but we’re definitely not the norm in our area. You’re bout guaranteed to see an ass-whippin on any trip to food lion.

I don’t think we spank but I’m also not sure we know yet. We were both spanked which was a step down from what our parents got. I can tell you I deserved every one I got.

But I’m also not sure how you teach “we don’t hit people” and then spank.

But I also know sometimes in life you do hit.

That’s disappointing. I always looked forward to that segment because those sea creatures just didn’t seem real. Seeing actual video of them was mind blowing.
 
Bluey is obviously the goat. My 4 year old really likes Elena of Avalor, and it's actually pretty good, would recommend.
 
Can't believe they changed creature report. I was dragged to the live action show years ago.
 
The Survival Building/Primitive Tools videos on YouTube are on heavy rotation in our house these days
