Clemson @ WFU - Saturday 9/24 - 12 Noon ABC

Curious if people are in more pain after the loss to Clemson or after the loss to UNC last year.

Could be recency bias but I’d personally go with Clemson this year. Just heartbreaking.

I was at both games. While both were painful. The unc one really, really hurt. We were top ten. On the road. And kicking their a$$. And then it all just fell apart. There are a few things I might have liked done differently, but Saturday felt like a really good football game that someone had to lose. Some really great plays by both teams

Well, we lead the nation in one thing--0 and 63 against top 10 tens ! lol. Also, defense has give up points vmi-10 vandy-25 liberty-36 clemson-51, getting worse- we may need to score a 100 to win from now on--- why did they throw in end zone in 2 ot when it was 4 and 6,,, run slant, pick up 1st down, then go for td.
This is where I am coming from... Especially since Clemson was dropping back and giving help over the top... Badly needed to realize that and adjust....

No idea. That was basically a Hail Mary and the type of play they had stopped running. Not sure what the logic was there.

I’m literally battling with both sides. Not sure which one hurts more. Clemson just felt like we were at climax and then we got blue balls, whereas Carolina was like you lost your hard on and eventually got blue balls. Both suck…got to go with the first one, being worse, IMHO.

Not even close to the same feeling. UNC loss was pure fury and rage for me - completely unacceptable. The Clemson loss brought a feeling of pride for a game played well combined with disappointment for an opportunity missed.

If you were at both, I would assume leaving the stadium and making the long walk back to your vehicle thru a gauntlet of 60K jubilant Tarholes who had just won their "Super Bowl", was worse than this past Saturday's exit and a scattered 7-8K mostly relieved Clemsun fans.

oh yeah, 100% awful. Plus, I was at the UNC game with my little brother- a Goat grad. Uggh.. Rough day.

Not sure if the playcall was to go to AT which would be on the coaches or Sam made the wrong read to go to AT against zone coverage, which would be on Sam. Yeah, we needed 6 yards, but it was like we reacted as if it was 4th and goal.

Yeah I heard one Clemson fan walking out say “let’s just quietly walk out of the stadium”.

I mean if Sam makes the right reads on 1st and 2nd down, we're probably celebrating one of the best wins in school history and praising Clawson as a genius for managing the clock so well. Sam played an awesome game, but I'm sure the 2nd down sack in regulation and final pass into double coverage have been haunting him big time the last few days.

No doubt he’s probably taking this very hard. I hope he puts it behind him because we have a lot of games left and we can beat anyone else on the schedule if we continue to play like that.

I honestly wonder how anyone could be so negative at the moment and I’m hardly in the sunshine brigade. We’ve never beaten a top 10 team in the history of our school and we took one to double OT Saturday. After years of being seriously awful and finally getting good, you choose now join this board and complain. We’re 3 days post game. Nows the time to be proud and rally for FSU.

I know this is beside the point but the original post is wrong; Wake Forest beat No. 4 Tennessee in 1946.

1-65 against the top-10 isn't good, but it's also not 0-63.

Anybody see this yet?

Clemson just offered our commit, he among others will be at the game saturday. says he now "has something to think about"

if its been posted earlier, or elsewhere, apologies.
And just like that on 10/03/2022, He decommits from us. . . . and is considered "Warm" on Clemson

this kind of stuff is frustrating to say the least, and I'm sure it goes both ways, but after a kid commits, seems like others should have to leave him alone.

Unless of course, he decides to open his recruitment back up. But this "letting other coaches do all the work scouting, evaluating, etc. then you just go score the prize," seems gross.

Clemson was very aware of him. He had done a bunch of unofficial visits and workouts for them because he really, really wanted an offer.

It sucks but I'm sure our coaches are keeping in touch and staying positive. He may be in the transfer portal in a year or two. Or he may thrive at Clemson. This is going to happen when we up our level of recruiting.

1) Why? If you are thinking at all about the best interest of the recruits, it seems like they should be aware of every opportunity available to them. This sort of sentiment is that of a fan thinking only from the perspective of the team and not at all about the recruits.

2) Even if you could provide an answer to why it is justifiable to disallow contact between other coaches and verbally committed players, good luck ever coming up with a mechanism to enforce that.
