Agree. His TOs and on-ball defense need a lot of work. He is playing way too slow, but he’s a freshman and his upside is very high. I think he’s going to be all ACC by his junior year if he sticks around.

This team wasn't going dancing with Monsanto and they may not go NITing without him, but WGAF. Tourney or bust. I really don't care that we lost. Disappointing, but the season has been over for a while. Just trying to see some improvement from the guys who won't be moving on. Not seeing that, but we are thin and have been thin all year. No athleticism inside. And where there is some (Carr), there is no strength. No depth on this team whether Monsanto is healthy or not.

The one good thing that last few games is that Taylor has shown signs of life. Cam in a funk, but he'll be fine. Appleby had 12 turnovers a week ago, which has to be some kind of record, and nobody thought the sky was falling with him.

We have overachieved for two years with used parts. Need to build a team and some chemistry.

The Free Throw Shooting and the inexplicable lineup combinations doomed us tonight. If Carr and Hildreth (and even Marsh) don't have the confidence to take the ball up from 4 feet out after getting an offensive rebound, then perhaps they shouldn't be playing so much. When we get the offensive rebounds, we must convert and we did a horrible job of doing that tonight.

The Quad system has been effectively beaten to death - as an imperfect measure of BC's improvement, here are the records vs. Q1 and Q2 for both BC and WF:

BC: 2-6 vs Q1, 2-4 vs. Q2, 4-10 total
WF: 2-8 vs Q1, 3-1 vs Q2, 5-9 total

also - as stated elsewhere, if BC gets the win, they gain an inside track to an ACCT first-round bye should WF and BC finish in a two-way tie (any 3-way tie would favor the Deacs)

It’s not going to matter either way, WF basketball has just never been able to recover from Bzdelic and Manning, they took our once proud program to the depths of the ACC. We have to take 3 star players and pray they stay long enough to develop and pray we continue to be lucky in the transfer portal. Once in a blue moon we can overcome like the App game, We just are cursed by past coaches. Although Forbes has done better the progress has not met expectations

BC played inspired basketball and they wanted that W a lot more than we did for the majority of the game. They caught fire in the second half and that happens, but they were bringing it on both sides of the court.

I’ll say my biggest disappointment was seeing the lack of urgency and intensity during that BC 20-2 run. I’m glad we clawed back, but that is Forbes’ biggest flaw, IMHO. He lets the game get away from him and the team. His inability to take advantage of or defend against big momentum shifts is a serious flaw of his. Been dealing with it all year long. Go up big and get sloppy. Get down by a little which turns into a lot and then it’s too much to overcome. That is coaching and I’m a huge supporter of his. Shit needs to change. Can’t just sit there and watch things unravel without taking action. Our defense also blows. FUCK!
