Conference Expansion: Stanford, California and SMU Join the ACC

In the event that it actually needs to be said (and I cannot believe it actually does), you could probably put together the top college football team from continental Europe combined and they'd go winless against an ACC slate.
How much NIL money do they have?

So it would be easier to extend that bowl streak.

Everybody mentions unfettered transfers in college football that keep the top teams at the top.

I agree, but more money is a big temptation. Why would Texas and Oklahoma give up control of the Big XII and a clear route to the CFP to be relegated to an SEC also-ran?
To be in and compete in the best league in college football. Simple as that.

nd all-in most definitely solves the problem. The ACC needs to make this happen NOW!

Whatever it takes, this needs to be the priority for the ACC smart guys in the room.
ND is not coming in the ACC in football. They are staying independent and probably going to get about $60 mill in next NBC contract.

I’d be in favor of an uneven revenue split of some kind. If a University president votes against that, they’re basically saying they don’t think they can win. I bet the ACC would get the votes for it. Figure out league expansion later if we can’t rope ND into joining along with Stanford and Cal (which is the longest of long shots). This might help keep FSU/Clemson from exploring further how to leave the conference.

West Virginia is doing great.

Not a banner week for the Big 12. I wonder if this insane Baylor opinion somehow impacts athletics. Baylor should be considered in the same league as Liberty and Bob Jones. I’ve been saying it for years and this solidifies that.

Wake Forest should be required to do neither.
You say this as if we have some sort of right to stay at the highest level of college athletics. We do not. We are free to hop the minor league bus to Boone, Spartanburg, and Conway and cut down all the travel we want. We are likely to be forced into that -- but we are free to head down to the lower levels if we want. I'm sure Clemson and FSU would be quite happy to stay if BC & Wake (the massive revenue losers) moved along.

You mean the Wake football team who has a 3 game win streak against f$u?!
