2023 Pit Fantasy Football League - THE PLAYOFFS ARE SET

My only QB Kirk Cousins just tore his Achilles, so I am in the QB trade market! Nobody on my team would be untouchable if you have a backup QB that you don’t need anymore.
 
Gotta say though, SD3 accepting the trade in about 0.75 seconds did give me some pause that I overpaid massively haha.

No idea how I'm supposed to value a startable QB in this league though, especially in my scenario of having a winning record and no healthy QBs left on my roster.

Honestly I was just thinking more about my team than yours. If I was 5-3 or something like that, I wouldn't have taken it. Would have kept the insurance QB on my bench. But at 4-4, and Bryce already having his BYE week, it's worth the gamble to me. Especially with me losing my 1st round pick in Chubb. I need another startable WR/FLEX compared to that extra QB burning a hole in my bench.

Value seemed fair for both sides to me.

Gooner, really , sorry that you are under the weather - like my QB Mahomes... so, Patrick and I decided to give you a win and cheer you up. Almost a 40 point lead after a Thursday night game and score only 34 points from everyone else on Sunday?? Why can't I have nice things?

I offered the Love/Godwin deal and SD3 accepted, so it’s already a confirmed and pending trade.

Given the carnage around the QB position I’d imagine there are other buyers for Carr/Mahomes for you

Generally speaking, I think 7-8 wins is about the cutoff. Of course, weirdly balanced divisions can change that up

Through Week 7 (halfway through the regular season), there are 12 teams already with 4+ wins, so if those teams just keep pace with what they did in the first half of the season they will win 8+ games. There's 4 more teams that are sitting on 3 wins that could realistically go 5-2 to get to 8 wins. That's 16 total teams that still have a pretty reasonable chance at 8+ wins.

If I was placing the cut line for this season, I'd guess that there will be a tiebreaker to make the playoffs among the teams that go 8-6, and nobody is making the playoffs at 7-7.

I am alive, still feel pretty weird though. This happened the last time I got COVID a couple years back, the bad symptoms went away but I felt foggy and off-kilter for a while afterward
