NCSU Game Nov 11 2:00 CW

This is the first year I have not been entertained. In years past I have been miserable after a loss but I could at least say it was a good game and I was entertained. Hopefully they get this figured out before next season.

I agree, yes if a coach gets fired odds are the cupboard is pretty bare, but when coaches leave for better jobs they’re usually leaving a pretty good situation for the next guy, otherwise they wouldn’t be getting the opportunity.

Yep. There is nothing positive to hang our hats on. There is no development from younger players to look forward to.

I was thinking the same thing. Starting with Grobe, except for few years, we’ve been pretty competitive and fun to watch, even if frustrating to watch. This year, there has been little fun. Probably the most ”fun” I’ve had this year is watching a few guys like Pointer, Davis and Roberts on defense play their butts off and watching a 3rd string QB lead us to our only conference win this year and apparently has been benched for it???
 
Knowing things are bad and actually making changes to fix those things are two very discrete items.
 
Our Oline looked better with Jurgens at Center.

Pettibon was back at Center today and appeared to have some issues. Of course they all did, but we at least looked decent last week.

Agree. Jurgens' natural position at Center.

To be fair, some of the guys around Jurgens when he was playing center probably helped him look better at center. Not sure this group would have the same effect.

This year has been like watching ‘Major League’ or ‘Slapshot’ except that I am too invested to fully appreciate the humor.

Mitch’s QBR today was 6.4. It’s almost impossible to play worse but I expect he’ll start next week.

I’ve been around long enough to remember Zac Taylor playing against wake and winning. I don’t know if I have the heart to watch Sam Hartman destroy this team next week.

I don't think Mitch starts next week based on Clawson's post game presser. Sounds like he's finally seen the light that Mitch just isn't it.
 
I remember seeing Zach Tom up close at the BC game 2 years ago. We don't have someone who physically looks like that on the OL this year. We don't have someone who can play like Justin Herron. Those are NFL OL.

If Clawson starts Mitch either of the next 2 weeks barring injuries, then Dave’s wife needs to get him to Baptist for a brain scan. Mitch is done unless Dave has something seriously wrong upstairs.
