A couple we are really good friends with both have divorced parents so they literally have 4 different family groups. I get so stressed when they talk about scheduling holiday plans or balancing family commitments throughout the year. They are all over the place too — Ohio, Atlanta, eastern NC and Virginia Beach.

Oh hey me and my wife

Parents in Philly, Ohio, Florida.

I’ve not been to Florida since my mom moved down there a few years ago, she mostly comes up here. Holidays we have established traditions we don’t really break but the doubling up of family visits to us is a bit much.
 
when the time comes i'm just telling my kids that they can see us for thanksgiving or christmas and not to stress out over it. it's not their fault their parents are divorced

We traveled for Christmas last year and won’t be doing that again. Santa comes to our house and then we will drive over that day to see you.
 
We generally visit my family on thanksgiving but they’re in easy driving distance. But beyond that I’m at the age/stage of life where I feel zero obligation and feel zero regret for wanting to drag my young family through a peak holiday airport at Christmas/thanksgiving AND rent a car AND board the dogs to go visit far out of town family, which basically means we watch tv.
