WF MBB Game 7: Florida Gators - Wednesday 7:15 ESPNU

Where we are right now, minus Reid and Monsanto, does anyone think we're a 500 team in the ACC?

I mean most advanced stats have us somewhere around the middle of the ACC right now, so yeah I think we can be 0.500 in the ACC without those two guys.

It is a little unfortunate that we have to play Duke and UVA twice but only play the bad teams like Notre Dame and Louisville once

do the espnu game replays become accessible to folks without the channel eventually?

I think we are 11-9 or 12-8 with Monsanto but not Reid.

With both I think we might it up at 14-6

Haven't the last two seasons shown us that it's better to play the tougher teams in the league more often?

I'm not going to pretend to understand all of the NET's formula but seems like you're better off playing the top-50 teams as many times as possible and trying to get splits than being happy with a combined 30-point sweep of bottom feeder teams.

I just meant in terms of the question of if we'd be a 0.500 or better ACC team.

As far as our strength of schedule and potential NCAAT resume, yeah it's probably better that we only play the cellar teams Louisville and Notre Dame once, beating teams ranked that low twice is not of much value.

Taking out all priors (which would equate to rating WF without Reid or Monsanto), Torvik puts WF as the 12th in the ACC ahead of only ND, L'ville and GT. So, based purely on this season's results, WF is not playing like an above .500 ACC team.

That said, the sample size is still too small to be reliable. As example, using this analysis, Duke is a bubble team #41 in the country and 5th in the ACC. FWIW, even if Reid and Monsanto don't play, think WF will get better during the year. In the past, WF got off to good starts because WF had experienced guards (Alondes and Davien in 2022; Appleby and Davien last year); this year, WF is breaking in guards that are younger and essentially did not play meaningful minutes last year. Boopie and Sallis will get better; MMM will get better; Parker will get better; even Keller has to get better. Not sure if WF is going to improve enough to land on the right side of the bubble, but WF will play better basketball as the season goes on.

Ahhhhh, I gotcha. Forgot the context was being a .500 ACC team.

What provider doesn't have ESPNU now?
I have spectrum, but its apparently unavailable now even with the sport pack. I think it was dropped after the whole situation with Disney and spectrum. You would assume it would be available on ESPN+ if its not available on a cable subscription. Hopefully we wont have too many more games on it moving forward.

Edit- I just looked it up and I can't even add it. So apparently it is just unavailable through spectrum. At least on my end
