Broncos Jets?

You have a loose definition of great.

Is there some kind of phenomenon on this board where no one can fucking read today?

Holy shit.

In the 4 wins Tebow has started, this is what the Denver defense has allowed:

MIA -- 15 points
OAK -- 24 points, including a 14 yard TD drive.
KC -- 10 points
NYJ -- 13 points if you can even count the TD that was on the fumble.

There are a lot of QBs in the league that could win with that kind of defense. If you don't think that Tebow's wins have been helped greatly by really good defense, I don't know how to help you. You clearly missed some important points in grade school.

SF has averaged allowing 15.3 ppg -- tops in the NFL.

In those 4 wins, Denver has allowed 62 and 2 TDs were non-offensive TDs off Tebow turnovers. So yes, I think great qualifies to describe the defense that's backed up Tebow in their wins, despite the number of points they've allowed this season.

Maybe you credit that to Tebow, maybe you don't. Maybe you think it's a function of bad offenses on the other sideline. But it's happened.

Jesus Christ. I'll try this slowly. You called Denver's defense great. They aren't great. They aren't even good. Simple enough for you?

I'm assuming you said the games they won because they gave up 45 to Detroit in a loss. They're a very average or slightly below-average defense. Sorry if that upsets you.

Yeah give no credit to the defense that gave his shitty offense a chance to pull one out of their ass.

Right. Because as I recall the broncos defense scored that game winning TD. Who was it that had the run? Oh yeah, sorry. Tim Tebow. Not defense. He accounted for 92 of the 95 yards needed.

HAVE THEY BEEN GREAT IN THE FUCKING FOUR GAMES THEY HAVE WON WITH TIM TEBOW STARTING OR NOT?

Not talking about the whole season. Talking about the four wins to which Tebow has allegedly led the Broncos as a player in the starting lineup.

I give up. Everyone on this thread is apparently a complete retard.

I swear it's like he's on a personal crusade to post as much stupid bullshit as possible in one night.

He led a drive. Not a win.

The defense led the win, as they have 3 of the 4 games he's won.

Orton has to be wondering where this defense was when he was starting. He'd still be the starter.

How often in the NFL this season have regulation scoring outputs of 15, 17, and 17 won games? Half? Less?

I know 17 ppg on defense would be less than anyone has allowed except the Niners and the Ravens. And the Broncos won all 3. And the guy leading the offense is getting the credit.

Only in America.

He looks correct in his argument to me, Denver has played fantastic defense in Tebow's 4 wins.

However he's clearly not gauging the effect of Tebow on inspiring his defense. That's what winners do. If you watched the game when he got put in for Orton, 60,000 people were inspired.

Led the drive that won the game. That's good enough me.

Yeah, some crazy bullshit about how Urban Meyer wasn't as good without Tim Tebow on his team at Florida. Not sure how anyone would ever come to that conclusion...unless they can read a fucking record book.

Kanho - do you think Denver's defense plays as well as it has if Vince Young replaced Orton instead of Tebow?

Being 2nd in rushing also helps win the TOP battle, something they weren't doing earlier in the season. It's a number of factors. The defense has also faced Matt Moore, Matthew Stafford (and lost), Carson Palmer, Matt Cassel, and Mark Sanchez after the QB switch after losing to Campbell, Hasselbeck, Rodgers, and Rivers with Orton at QB. Next week at SD will be a good test.

Interesting story.

"We know we have to help our offense till they get going," cornerback Champ Bailey said. "They are going to make some plays, but we've got to carry a heavier load."

Elway, the Broncos executive vice president of football operations, was showing off that trademark grin, the same one Broncos fans know so well. "Play good defense," Elway told his defensive stars, "and anything's possible."

Even winning with a fullback playing QB.
