this seems like a good place to remind everyone that plama thinks that if you have a babysitter caring for your child while you're within earshot you have enslaved them
 
My anxiety hit me hard last night for no reason at all (always does amirite) and I think I slept maybe 2-3 hours between 1am and 5am. This is what I get for staying up til 1am working on shit instead of letting my brain turn off I guess.


Which is all to say I'm one foot in on minimal sleep club today.
 
I’ve come to realize I don’t understand everything with the younger ct poster generation and they don’t understand me. Once I realized that I decided that I’ll try to be nice but understand they won’t like me regardless. I’m cool with that.
 
fwiw, I suspect that everyone "likes" you and that the younger generation simply calls people out more than you (and I) are used to. It's not a reflection on you per se, although there are some people who do more than simply hold up a mirror to us.

Yeah it sucks to interpret some push back and asking for clarification as “y’all must not like me”

Kind of shuts down any possibility of a real conversation

It is this. As long as you are doing your best to be a truly decent person and recognize/improve on biases or behavior when confronted with differing shared experience, I'm generally going to like you.

I recognize we all have some huge differences in our backgrounds but as I've said time and time again that's a strength of this here CT.
