If you are going to hurl the same tired attendance insults, then please don't bother posting in the Atlanta Braves thread.
 
I guess giving props to the Braves is bad to some. Your rookie manager figured something out no one had in many years.

Shifts have been going on all the way back to Ted Williams and Willie McCovey. Everyone else have moved all of their infielders to positions they weren't used to playing.

Fredi's move may become the norm to good managers from now on. My bad I'm not supposed to say nice things about your manager and how he's one step ahead of the pack.
 
Back on track....

Teheran had a good start at AAA a few days ago. 5 2/3 IP, 2H 2BB 3K 1ER.
 
fingers crossed Liberty unloads the Braves to someone who cares about owning a sports franchise and not just an asset.

Acutally an iteresting take on the howard shift in moving Chipper to the right of second and leaving Gonzalez at short.

That amkes a lot of sense. It only puts one guy out of position.

Because the Braves signed Maddux 18 years ago? They traded for Smoltz when he was a minor leaguer, and Glavine was a farm product.

The Phillies used their big budget to get Oswalt, Lee, and Halladay within 18 months.

Who are the other big pieces the Braves traded for/signed? They rented Teixiera for a few months, and that's about it.
 
All this talk about the Braves and the Phillies is pointless. Phillies are incredible now with a questionable long term, and Braves are very good now with a promising future ahead.

As for this years club, it's wait and see. They're still tinkering with the new manager/formula. These things take time.
