Exactly. The only thing that matters, and I mean only thing, is if you make the NCAA tournament. That's why our 2017 season with Manning was infinitely better than this past season. In 2017 Wake went 19-14 and finished 10th in the ACC, whereas this year we went 21-14 and finished 5th in the...

    Wake Golf 2024 - Women’s ACC Tournament April 18-21; Men's ACCT April 19-22

The Wake men had the low round of the day. Brennan tied for lowest individual round today and was named co-champion after 5 extra holes. The women earned the ACC team championship after play was suspended because it was too dark. Classic Wake. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure, but you're right that he has been a machine this year.

Wake Forest Tennis 2023-2024: Men #7, Women #37

The ACC championships conclude this weekend. The Wake men made the semifinals and lost a really close match to FSU. Wake was down 0-3 and came back to tie it at 3-3. Wake won 3 third set matches, all of which Wake lost the first set, but Matthew Thompson lost in a third set at 3 singles. FSU...

You may have missed Roach's twitter post, but he basically said "I wish." Indicating that number is not correct.

It's the opposite of when Tim Duncan completed his sophomore and junior years. He would have been the #1 pick in the draft after both seasons, but reporters had to track him down to ask if he was going pro or coming back to Wake, and both times he was like (paraphrasing, obviously) "yeah, of...

Friedrichsen is back. I didn't know he was gone, but good to know he's back.

    How bad was it? Bz and Manning weren't even close to making the NIT. ACC finishes: Bz 12, 9, 9, 13 and Manning 12, 13, 10, 14, 13, 13. (For comparison, Forbes is 14, 5, 8, 5)

Why did you remove #175? Should we remove #35. Include all the data and draw a line of best fit. That's how you graph a trend.

Maybe it will be a virtual banner? In terms of objective data (not feelings), I'm glad we're trending in the right direction.

This is absolutely correct. The fans and the players view college basketball extremely differently. Fans think about loyalty, consistency, repping your school, etc. Players look at where they can showcase their ability best to make the NBA and where they can get paid the most. I can't blame...

Back then, the ACC was the biggest stage, and Wake was at the top of the league. Maybe Rutland would have gone somewhere else for money, like Georgetown, but Wake likely would have landed a really good player in his place.

Yep. Bronny has deals from Nike, Beats, etc. Those will travel. That is where the NIL money can really get serious. If you look at Jared McCain's instagram it is filled with him advertising for American Eagle, Crocs, Celcius, etc. Another example is Wake golfer Rachel Kuehn - she has a...

Wake Forest Tennis 2023-2024: Men #7, Women #37

Really good win for #6 Wake men over #16 NC State this afternoon. DK Suresh with a big 3 set win at 1 singles to clinch the match. Filo played 3 and lost quickly, which is odd. I wonder if he's a bit injured? The Wake women are currently ranked #33 and played at #6 UVA tomorrow.

If Sallis returns next year and has another great year, and eventually does well in the NBA, that might be enough.

    Steve Forbes credibility watch

Forbes won 75% of his games at ETSU. His teams were tough, played good defense, and won close games. Since he left, ETSU has won 42% of their games. Forbes has won 57% of his games at Wake (63% since the COVID year), and 47% of his ACC games (57% since the COVID year). I expect he'll win...
