USF is 4-28 over the last 3 seasons, but you can win there. So, if he turns it around, he will be deemed a coaching genius. Colorado has been similarly pathetic, but the Pac-12 is in turmoil, and Colorado hasn't had consecutive winning seasons in more than 16 years. The Pac-12 has been a weak conference, but the Buffs are collective 27-75 in Pac-12 games since joining that league in 2011. Mel Tucker is the only one to leave Colorado for as good or better opportunity among the last 6 coaches there, and Tucker went 5-7 in his one season in Boulder.
So, to climb the coaching ladder, think USF is the better opportunity (plus Deion is a FL native; he should do very well recruiting there)>
