i think the dudes bitching about romance novels and the like sound like salty women complaining about porn. if some fantasy driven bs is the reason for your relationship ending then it wasnt that strong or you are a nut. done and done.

why are women not settlinga t 24? because we live in a society where that isnt necessary. women want to do things with jobs and life outside of being barefoot and pregnent. how many dudes are looking for the one at 24 here? it's hilarious hearing a dude cry about the way chicks are now yet loving the liberation of having nsa sex with them.

So I'm behind on a lot of this, but here's what I have to say with regards to waiting till marriage and sexual chemistry: no, I'm not waiting till marriage, but I can understand some of the romance behind it. I think you CAN know that you'll have sexual chemistry without actually doing the deed. Most couples who wait (the ones i know anyway... and i do actually know a few) are fooling around in other ways, so they at least kind of know what they're getting themselves into. As far as "taste preference", I think if both people are new to sex then they'll likely form their tastes and what they like around each other, since they'll both be learning. At least that's what I hope for the few of my friends who have made the choice to wait for the big day.

Like I said, it's not something I've chosen to do personally, but I don't think it's ultimately detrimental like some others do.
 
Oh and divorce-- my best friends mom just filed for divorce from her dad after 30 years of marriage. Her dad was having an affair and totally financially supporting this other woman. The man seems to have lost it completely from the way he was when I knew him well just a couple years ago. Really sad.

I think, from a dudes perspective, you kind of know if you are long term compatible once you get a good look at the flaps and b-hole. Other than personality- honestly there are lots of cool chicks around so let's assume you are smart enough to weed out the turds and get a decent mate- you gotta find a decent grundle. And to each their own. I prefer ham to roast beef. Others don't. Some peeps like a big brown eye, some small, some less brown, some pure stank. But I think you kind of know it when you see it, despite the personality thing. Like, I can deal with this or I can't or I want different, even if its the coolest mate in the whole world, the grundle could be a deal breaker or just like a sign, this one is or ain't for me. Like soul mate type thing.
