Thinking about the NC GOP debacle thread and drag queen story time events - why does so much of the LGBTQ conversation focus on male drag queens and transwomen? Do those people actually take up more space, because they are more common than other members of that community? Where are the trans male athletes? Where are the television shows about drag kings? Non-binary or androgynous people? For as inclusive and open minded as our culture has supposedly become, we seem to have a very narrow focus on one kind of person: a person with male physical characteristics in womens clothing.
