In general or in that specific case? In that case, looking at the facts of the matter, it is very clear that Dems are far better than Republicans on climate. The steps that Biden has already taken keep us pretty close to the target, but they expire in 2030. Days after the tweet Biden admin took steps to effectively shut down coal fired power plants in 2039. That action isn’t included in the graph. So maybe rather than mock Hillary, we could take a minute and consider the reality and ignore her. Is critique even needed here?
 
Not a direct response to you Birdman, but the condescending centrist Democrat “things aren’t really as bad as Progressives makes them out to be” rebuttals are almost always entirely informed by good faith in propagandist free market solution policy that was itself….derided by progressives already.

Has there ever been a topic on which Democrats didn’t respond to leftist disagreement by insulting their wisdom or intelligence? The whole “only adults in the room” trope is beyond fucking tired.

Did you read the whole thread? The courts rejected the carbon markets. Biden has a different strategy of directly regulating carbon output from coal plants. They have until 2032 to enact 100% carbon capture or they have to shut down entirely by 2039.

I read the thread - I was criticizing Hank Green’s own words as demonstrative of his perspective championing free market solutions, such as the US government subsidizing billion dollar companies for “Enhanced Oil Recovery”, something they already do.

the handful of leftists on the tunnels already criticized Biden’s bill before it passed as being almost entirely based in subsidizing private industry to implement questionable techniques to improve pollution, rather than actually reduce it through regulation.

Are we really envisioning a world where arabs and isrealis get along at some point in the future? At some point you just gotta pick a side, and I'm curious why so many young people wanna side with folks practicing shaira law? Lets move the Palestinians in Gaza to Iran and pay off Iran to keep the peace for the rest of time and just end it already.

I'm getting tired of being told I need to pick between two unpalatable options. It's a sucky situation, but I don't own any aspect of it.

I understand that we have freedom to assemble, but there should be limits. These gatherings in NYC have gone too far.
