A Gamecock is bird! Unique because they do not fly. Not many birds do not fly. (But they are good at basketball! and baseball too. LOL go cocks!
 
Spring migration is underway! I heard a northern parula warbler yesterday morning while standing in my driveway. He came from at least the southern tip of Florida but probably from Yucatán or Cuba (the core of their winter range). Keep your ears open folks!
 
Yellow Warbler singing in the front yard today. I never got a look at it but I heard it three times. Last time I saw/heard one of them was in August in Ometepe, Nicaragua.
