MBB Game 25: UNC-CH at the LJVM - Tuesday -- 7 pm ESPN

Ph - Did you hear the Forbes postgame where he said he rarely worries worries about first half foul trouble? Doesn't think you automatically take out a guy just because he has 2 first half fouls.

Music to my ears.

We're also up to #107 in 2-Foul Participation... 27.3% vs D1 average of 21.9%
I didn't catch last night's postgame, but I think I've heard him say it before. Definitely good to hear. I thought the take fouls were too early and didn't impact their offense though.

Interesting(?):

Klintman is 12 for 19 from three (63.2%) in conference play

Monsanto is 28 from 30 from the line (93.3%) in conference play

Marsh and Bradford are 51 for 61 from the field (83.6%), but only 12 for 37 (32.4%) from the line in conference play.

What did it say
As to DV7's charges....I guess "my terms" of not starting fights with each other, not insulting are way too tough for him. Those were my "terms".

As to calling Townie a "classless piece of shit". I absolutely standby that terminology.

By definition a "Private Message" is supposed to be private. To start a thread to post multiple Private Messages shows one to be an untrustworthy, classless piece of shit.

It illustrates why he'll never be anything other than a mid-level lackey at third rate companies or non-profits. If you can't keep things private on a crummy internet board, how can you be trusted in the real world with things that matter to people and companies?

I fully understand why Townie hold so much resentment and jealousy towards me. His #1 position on the old boards and here has been to the uber-cool music guy.

His posting of just another night in my life that included Prince shows this.

By the time I was his age, I had hung out with people like Bonnie Raitt, Cyndi Lauper, Rick Danko and many more. I regularly played basketball with the wonderful Grover Washington, Jr. Hell, he'd never sleep if he could have hung out with people like The Hooters. A few years after I was his age that list grew dramatically.

Townie would kill lick the balls of an indie rocker who would let him wipe his ass.

He'd jerk off in public if a band he managed and produced would play at places like CBGB or opened for legends like Paul Butterfield, John Mayall, Rick Danko and others.

I understand his gross jealousy and resentment for others who have lived only what had lived the dreams he's had since he was ten, but that's not my fault.

It's also not an excuse to betray confidences.

So, yes his actions have earned calling him a classless piece of shit. It's sad, but it's on him.

Random comment:

I had already seen the box score before I started the game, so I knew Marsh was 5-5 from the floor.

There was one point in the game where he actually made a post move and spun to his right for a kind of off-balance one-footer that I would have been mildly annoyed by in real-time, but I knew it was going in so I got super-hype about it.

Might have been his longest made FG of the year.

Hey WFU event marketing...please immediately stop the practice of replaying an opponent's dunk (or 3....or whatever) on LOOP. WFU is your home team....not UNC.

Loop from The Loop (local pizza place) should never promote the visiting team. Ever. Seems obvious, but I guess it's not.
Seriously. How does that happen?

Matthew Marsh's FG% on the season is 89.6% (60 for 67). 90%. I know that almost all of them are dunks. That is still unreal. Doubt that there is a college basketball player with more than 60 FG attempts on a season with a better FG%.
FWIW, Marsh's FT% on the season? 15 for 37 40.5%.

He needs to play 40% of the teams minutes to qualify for the 2pt% in KP... He'd be like 10% ahead of #2, but he's only at 39.4% of minutes played after these last few games of less run.

Has plenty of shots... Need 2 per game to qualify. It's just the minutes where he is falling a bit short.

The only thing about that move is that he went underneath his defender with the shot. He needs to play big. If he could develop a little jump hook, he'd be a significantly greater weapon for us. And he actually has a nice touch and shot for being as big as he is! Have only sat behind the bench once and seeing him in real life...he's a beast. I'm 6'5" 235 and I felt like he could pick me up and toss me back a few rows. Seems like a really nice guy...someone needs to make him mean on the court, though.

If the season ended today I think first team All-ACC is Bacot, Smith, Filipowski, Appleby and Tyson. I think an argument can be made for one of the Miami guys (Omier/Wong) or Burton from Pittsburgh but to me the top five are pretty solid. The top four for sure but Tyson also having one hell of a year. To me, Bacot is the POY right now (blasphemous I know)
Appleby's claim as POY is rising daily as he now leads the ACC in both scoring and assists.

Definitely feels like Bacot will be awarded POY in a career achievement type vote. Will be really hard for voters to give a WF point guard on a good-but-not-great team the award for a second consecutive year. If we run off an impressive stretch of wins and Ty closes out the season as the points/assists leader (which Alondes fell just short of doing) he has a real chance though. He’d still be the first player to ever do it which would have to carry some real weight.
