GOAT super bowl? It wasn't even the best in the last 366 days
Disagree. This Philly team was more much likable than either of last year's participants.

Head coaches across the NFL resist the sports-analytic logic showing that going on fourth-and-short, and on fourth-and-goal, improves the chances of victory, even if some attempts fail. Many coaches know the math that favors the fourth-down attempt. They also know that if they send in a kicker and the team goes on to defeat, the players will be blamed; if they order a try that fails, they will be blamed. In a profession that pays several million dollars per year but offers scant job security, anything a head coach can do to prolong his tenure makes sense for him, even if not for the team. So coaches send in kickers, secure in the knowledge that’s what owners expect, while network announcers will say they “have to” kick.
Wrong thread, but I think Clawson is starting to embrace some of those same analytics hand-in-hand with our recruiting algorithms/analytics. We were so much more aggressive on 4th down this year than in the past.
Outside of New England, really hard to maintain success in the NFL. That said, the vast majority of the Eagles' key players are young and locked up for years to come. Roseman has been very adept at negotiating team-friendly contracts before players blow-up. From a talent perspective, the Eagle should be strong for the next few seasons. Will be a matter of how the players handle success, avoiding injuries and how the QB situation shakes out.
Because of the communistic, anti-fan, anti-excellence hard cap this is true. Not a single owner would ever limit his own earnings or ability to hire someone for his non-football companies. Nor would they penalize any company they for excellence in hiring or products by saying no more cash.
The NFL should replace their shield with the communist hammer and sickle.
Saw this pop up on Facebook. Thought it was interesting.
What's the point? One guy is a headache off the field and the other is not. Johnny Football threw for 1279 yards and 7 TDs in his last 6 starts, and he isn't on an NFL roster either. If your off the field distractions are more trouble than your production, you won't be on a team, that is not a difficult concept to grasp.
Glad the thread title makes sense again
