Pit Secret Santa 2012 (gifts and such)

apparently there's a UPS package waiting for me at home!
 
I got a package this morning.

However, the reveal will have to wait until at least Sunday, probably later, as I'm not going to my dad's until then to pick it up.

i think it's been here a few days. last night in cleaning off our beside-the-front-door table, i uncovered a UPS sticky note that there was an attempted delivery on the 17th and the item was in the office.
i KNOW i did not take this message down, jason claims he didn't, either. we bickered about how it magically got inside for a little while (it wasn't me), but then got excited because it meant we had a package. so yeah, sorry it's taken a while for it to get to my hands. unveiling post to come!
 
thought my gift arrived. busted open the package and realized it was a talking buddy doll from dinosaur train for my daughter.

Apparently I'm supposed to get "other gifts" but have moved into my house and only have the apartment through the 31st. Hope my Santa knows this.

I'm getting around without crutches now. Still limping like crazy but the pain is mostly gone and I can wear regular shoes. Still swollen a bit but not too bad. Last Friday morning sucked when I woke up. I think that hurt worse than the actual fall. They were severe sprains so total recovery time is 3 to 6 weeks. It could have been a lot worse.

You have two others- but I think you may have forwarded your mail already or something is really fucked up since one was out for delivery on Saturday last week and the other Wednesday this week. This is the two tracking of the packages

Yeah, I already forwarded my mail. I didn't think it would affect UPS or Fed-Ex though and my house is only like 2 miles from my apartment. Thanks for the first gift though. I knew my move was coming up, didn't think it would affect things this badly though.

sorry to make you wait so long, except not really because i had a lovely night, good night's sleep, good 6mi run this morning, got a bunch of errands done, changed the oil, and made a shopping list for the grocery store. productivity of the last 14 hours aside, i present to you with much ado the last present of my 3-series from the closest thing to a gentleman these boards may ever know, TSY.

the Waterfall Lover's Guide to the Pacific Northwest! Or, if you open it and the packing slip is wrapped around the top of the book, you may first read it as 'Lover's Guide to the Pacific Northwest' and wonder what sort of book you're about to open.
For real though, pretty stoked about this one. There are lots of gems in this area, some better known than others, and I'm looking forward to exploring some new trails as we work through the falls included here.
