President Biden mishandles classified documents

That's a strangely hyperbolic post. Whose moral high ground? I haven't seen anybody on the left claim that possession of classified information isn't important anymore because of this. There's demand for action in terms of investigating both and figuring out how the National Archives can avoid this in the future.

"Length of time" only matters if there's evidence that people had access to the docs or that they were moved around instead of just sitting in a box intermingled with non-classified docs.

The issue was treated as another example of Trump being a miscreant until Biden was included in the discussion. That is a moral high ground. Biden eliminated that aspect of political advantage.

The investigation will shed light on whether the documents have been viewed or used in a unethical manner.

This is an issue where the Republicans "what about" response actually has some validity.

So Trumps docs got Jared billions while Biden’s docs got Hunter millions?

The net effect of the discovery of classified information in Biden's possession is to neutralize the issue of classified information in Trump's possession. The moral high ground and demand for action is lost. The only difference between the two is that Trump's papers had to be siezed by legal action as oppossed to Biden's surrender of the documents. The length of time Biden possessed his documents negates that difference. Both Trump and Biden were in the wrong possessing the documents. Time to move on unless the documents in their possession can be clearly linked to actions of a nefarious nature.
Trump obstructed Justice. Can’t move on from that. The Orange Hitler needs to consent to a search of all of his residences. And the grave.

Good point on obstructing justice. He is unlikely consent to a search of his residences.

On to the investigation.

So maybe, just maybe, this is a disturbingly common government problem that needs to be addressed.

What makes Trump unique from Biden, Pence, or anyone else is that Trump didn't hand over documents and didn't cooperate with National Archives and DOJ.
