Recommend good stuff you've seen on Netflix streaming

We're just about done with Sopranos S1 (I watched it in real time, wifey hadn't ever seen it), and I am floored by the fact that James Gandolfini was 38 years old at the beginning of the show. I would have easily put him at 50, but when he died in 2013 he was only 51.

Very excited for Full Swing season 2's premiere this Wednesday...

Has anyone watched "Love on the Spectrum" on Netflix? I started watching Season 2 and enjoyed it so much I'm on Season 1 now. It's a documentary/reality show that follows a variety of adults on the autistic spectrum that are looking for romantic companionship. It's very interesting and some of the characters are now my favorite reality show characters on television. The show originated in Australia with 2 seasons and now the US version has produced 2 seasons.

I am digging season 1, but dang does that one older dude sound EXACTLY like Walter White or what. It's nuts how exact they sound.

He definitely has a great voice. He's so nice and I think he'd be a great person to be around but the more you watch I don't think there's much going on up there. He's also on season 2.

Last night’s Masters of the Air was good but it really showed the problems with this season: too short of eps as compared to the other two series and only 9 eps isn’t enough.

one of the little things that annoys me about the show is that they never switched to or show any B-17Gs, which should've happened at some point in the late winter/spring '44

and they've really de-emphasized the missions the last few eps. like D-Day got a 10 second glimpse. and the introduction of P-51s was a big fucking deal that shifted the tide of air superiority but they got a cursory mention in the last ep.

especially given the "bombers are bait" tactic switch that was crucial to the war effort. i get that we got all the hot, harrowing action already and by dday losses were not really as brutal as those 43-44 missions with no escort.

i'd watch a series about the OSS

Finished Death and Other Details last night. Really enjoyed it and thought it was a fun whodunit.

I'm fine with the de-emphasis on the missions because otherwise all the eps would be the same. I also would've liked to have seen some P-38s since that's what my grandfather flew, but they can't include everything. Since they made the decision to include the Tuskegee airmen, I think maybe they should've done that sooner, as it seems a bit late in the game for their story.

we could have had, i don't know...an actual BoB-like arc for these guys? b/c the one CO mentions not washing out during training.

Watched the first season of The Tourist on Netflix. Thought it was enjoyable and funnier than I was expecting for sure. Season 2 is out so I guess we'll start that.
