The religious right's hypocrisy now on full display

A cynical ploy to get Catholics on board with movement conservativism has birthed a generation of conservatives whose main political/theological principle is anti-abortion (unless in the case of risk to the life of the Republican Party Senate majority).

Yep, and behind all of that, you guessed it!!!!

(actually it's the triumvarate of white supremacy, patriarchy, and herteronormativity)

One comment said that Joel Berry thinks the black church is corrupted because it's disconnected from the white church

Because, you know, the right white church has the correct theology. You know, that one church somewhere that everyone knows differently.

Could go on other threads, but I’ll put it here…

Throughout much of the meeting, incensed parents claimed the artist intentionally subverted the mural's "Stay Healthy" theme to promote anti-Christian messages.

"It's discrimination against Christian beliefs," one man said during public comments, adding that it also qualifies as "hate material."

Is that a presidential announcement? Florida isn't "thousands of miles" big.

This is the true danger of coastal elites running the media. They don’t know how to understand religious imagery and many are isolated from the threats of religious extremism.

What in the actual fuck?

Apparently Trump is already on the attack - he referred to DeSantis as "Ron Desanctimonious" at a rally this weekend. It's certainly going to be interesting watching these two go at it for the GOP nomination. With any luck they'll tear each other apart.

The case dates back to April 2020 when Josh Edwards applied for a $6 million Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan to cover payroll, rent and utilities for his family’s ministry. In the loan application, he claimed that the organization, ASLAN International Ministry, had 486 employees and a monthly payroll of $2.7 million, according to a federal forfeiture complaint.

ASLAN International was ultimately approved for an $8.4 million loan.

It shouldn't be controversial to say churches that don't pay taxes shouldn't get taxpayer support.
