The Walking Dead Season THREE Thread!!!

Stupid people love The Walking Dead. This show is shit. Last night made me pine for the last few seasons of LOST.

Six episodes left on the DVR. Wife gave up and says I have to watch it by myself. Thinking of telling her I'm watching it, deleting it, and spending the time playing the new Bioshock.

episode sucked.

also, anyone notice the sound of a shell casing hitting the floor after Andrea shot herself with a revolver. lolz

It sounded like the gun hitting the floor not a shell.

Well I was disappointed in what could have been potentially a great season, but I will continue to watch. One of the best episodes of the season was done by the new showrunner so I hope he brings more of that to season 4.

I love the show's "A-Team" style shootouts where everybody is firing a million rounds off and nobody hits anything. It's so completely absurd.

Was glad to see Andrea finally killed off and I guess it was only natural she go out like a complete moron, the way she's been through the entire last two seasons. You're really carrying on a conversation with Milton when you know he's about to turn and you need to get the fuck out? Even Milton was like, "You really need to STFU and hurry." She was a complete clown until the bitter end but I think the show will be much better without her on it. She took up waaaaay too much screentime in season three and really ruined a lot of episodes.

Also disappointed to see the Governor live and read online where one of the writers said he'd still be a regular character next season. I think his usefulness ran its course a couple of episodes ago, and the group needs a new villain. But we'll see how the Governor is handled with the new show runner.

One thing I really did like was Carl's transformation. He's taking on a Shane-like personality and I think that could lead to some nice confrontations with he and Rick. I think Carl did exactly what he should've and I think the reasoning he gave Rick made perfect sense. Carl was easily the highlight of the episode to me.

But for a season finale it was pretty weak. Both previous finales were pretty balls-to-the-wall, which is what I was looking forward to. Both my wife and I have been really disappointed with almost every episode since TWD returned from break, minus the really good one with Morgan. The one with Morgan showcased why the show COULD be really great - it had a tight focus, interesting characters, moral dilemmas, zombie threats, and an apocalyptic feel. Unfortunately that wasn't carried into any of the other episodes, as they all ended up feeling like run-of-the-mill dramas that happened to have zombies in the background.

My thoughts exactly, RollWave. I doubt I'll be watching this shitshow next season. It is much too frustrating.

So you would just kill every new person that comes along so that when your group is eventually killed off to just one or two left you would be alone? You can't survive alone is the story they are trying to sell the last few episodes and that seems to be the way Shane and now Carl want it. Carl doesn't have morale compass because of what he is growing up around and Rick needs to bring him back I hate the Shane approach which is one of the reasons I am glad they killed him off.

so, why do we think carl is lacking a moral compass? because he killed a guy? people are making him out to be emotionless when really, i felt like his points with Rick were all 100% valid. Rick is a shitty leader.

Would I kill a guy that was JUST AT MY CAMP SHOOTING AT ME just because he looked like he was going to put his gun down? Hell yes I would.

Andrea pausing repeatedly instead of making all haste with the pliers did indeed piss me off. She deserved to get bitten for that.

Exactly....he said DROP YOUR WEAPON....not hand me your weapon as you aim it a foot right of my head....he should have just dropped it completely, then if Carl had killed him, it would have been a little cold blooded...but the way he was handing him the shotgun made me uneasy too.

This really was a shit finale....and like they tried to make the entire thing an homage to Andrea....like it was one big farewell, when in reality everyone hated her. So much unneeded and overwrought emotion for a character everyone hates.

So hilarious the way they had her escape just at the last second but still couldn't take on a weak ass Milton zombie with a weapon in her hand knowing he was coming right at her.

So now what?...now it's going to be 30 people at the prison versus The Governor, the latino guy, and the Aaron Curry lookalike?

If they seriously make another season with The Governor as some big villain it's going to be shit shit shit.

Do you think Carl would have killed anyone that come along he didn't know? I do. He stomped off having a hissy fit for Rick bring back kids and old people they didn't know. They need to replenish numbers hopefully not with preteens and old people picking up new people along the way and Carl doesn't seem open to.

Because Carl is growing cold and heartless. The talked about him losing his morale compass in the talking dead with Tyrese and Darryl.
