I love the show's "A-Team" style shootouts where everybody is firing a million rounds off and nobody hits anything. It's so completely absurd.
Was glad to see Andrea finally killed off and I guess it was only natural she go out like a complete moron, the way she's been through the entire last two seasons. You're really carrying on a conversation with Milton when you know he's about to turn and you need to get the fuck out? Even Milton was like, "You really need to STFU and hurry." She was a complete clown until the bitter end but I think the show will be much better without her on it. She took up waaaaay too much screentime in season three and really ruined a lot of episodes.
Also disappointed to see the Governor live and read online where one of the writers said he'd still be a regular character next season. I think his usefulness ran its course a couple of episodes ago, and the group needs a new villain. But we'll see how the Governor is handled with the new show runner.
One thing I really did like was Carl's transformation. He's taking on a Shane-like personality and I think that could lead to some nice confrontations with he and Rick. I think Carl did exactly what he should've and I think the reasoning he gave Rick made perfect sense. Carl was easily the highlight of the episode to me.
But for a season finale it was pretty weak. Both previous finales were pretty balls-to-the-wall, which is what I was looking forward to. Both my wife and I have been really disappointed with almost every episode since TWD returned from break, minus the really good one with Morgan. The one with Morgan showcased why the show COULD be really great - it had a tight focus, interesting characters, moral dilemmas, zombie threats, and an apocalyptic feel. Unfortunately that wasn't carried into any of the other episodes, as they all ended up feeling like run-of-the-mill dramas that happened to have zombies in the background.
Would I kill a guy that was JUST AT MY CAMP SHOOTING AT ME just because he looked like he was going to put his gun down? Hell yes I would. So you would just kill every new person that comes along so that when your group is eventually killed off to just one or two left you would be alone? You can't survive alone is the story they are trying to sell the last few episodes and that seems to be the way Shane and now Carl want it. Carl doesn't have morale compass because of what he is growing up around and Rick needs to bring him back I hate the Shane approach which is one of the reasons I am glad they killed him off.

so, why do we think carl is lacking a moral compass? because he killed a guy? people are making him out to be emotionless when really, i felt like his points with Rick were all 100% valid. Rick is a shitty leader.
