Casey Affleck takes home best actor. Was that expected?

Haven't seen it, but man I can't remember such a successful Oscar film that got so much meh response in the real world.

it's a decent musical but the story is very mundane.

But I don't think that was the envelope that he was given. Do you think that he just read it wrong? Its why he was so hesitant to read it. In fact, he didn't even read it, Faye did.
