On An Airplane Next To A Fat Guy

I think LAX is my least favorite airport in the States, followed closely by Newark, Dulles, and Philly.

Dallas is by far the best major airport, it is laid out great.

Some people have hated on DFW, but I've always had a great experience there.

I've also had great experiences in Denver.

ATL is laid out the best. DFW is laid out logically but is massive -- it can take forever to get to your gate on the train.

ATL might be ok if it weren't always so massively crowded. Getting through the terminals is always a pain.

DFW is a pain - too spread out. ATL is fine. CLT is really good. LAX sucks. MIA is like a 3rd world airport in areas.

Other than PDX, MSP is my favorite, then DEN.

Portland, ME is one of the nicest airport experiences i've had in my travels.

harrisburg is nice because it's small and has convenient connections but it's pretty run down

People that live in Winston, do you drive to Charlotte for a direct flight, or fly out of Greensboro. I’m still torn on which is best, usually I️ fly out of Charlotte though.

It really depends. Usually I’d prefer to drive to CLT and not have another flight to potentially be delayed but if it’s a late or early flight I go to GSO. There have also been several times where it’s cheaper to go GSO-CLT-MSY, which makes no sense to me.

For some reason, airlines love having you fly both into and out of their hub airports, even if the trip between the starting point and ending point is a lot shorter if flown directly. I have seen this in a number of places. Especially almost anywhere in the southeast and Atlanta. I've never found out why this is true.

Akron-canton is a good airport for my annual trip to NE Ohio because it's not that busy and they have an indoor little kid play area.

Charlotte is a great airport considering the volumes going through there. And I can get a direct flight anywhere I want.

CLT isn’t bad, but I fly out of PTI if it’s not way more expensive.

Security at PTI is super easy. And the drive back from Charlotte always sucks.

I fly out of ILM a few times a month and can’t see how a departing airport could be much easier. Of course, I’m going to CTL or PHL between ILM & my final destination 100% of the time.

LGA is the best NYC airport (except for the construction getting in) - Newark sucks, the lines are stupid long and the setup is confusing. Newark is the closest airport to me too, which sucks that it sucks.

I love flying into and out of PTI. I don't think I've ever waited more than 5 minutes in the security line (even without Clear) and I love that if someone is picking you up, they can park right outside of baggage claim for a couple of quarters, rather than circling around or waiting in a cell phone lot a mile away. Car rental is super easy too. Living in ATL is great for flying direct anywhere (literally), but I am a big fan of small airports when coming from or going to ATL.
