Wake in Daily Caller

Well if some random Foundation probably formed in the last decade that no one has heard of says so then better get to it. Seems like always this is about conservatives wanting the good old days of where they could say anything they want and march with their tiki torches with no consequences.

cracker doesn't bother any reasonable white person in the slightest. Its kinda funny.
The term doesn't actually bother these clowns. They're just using it to point out what they see as an unfairness or injustice in the policing of discrimination. And that's why this is all so dumb. If there actually was a term that was truly offensive, everybody would probably agree with them about the need for action.

It bothers them that there are terms they can’t use to refer to minorities. That’s what this is all about.

Or it's about them feeling that the University selectively enforces its policies.

Do you think they would prefer more stringent enforcement or less stringent enforcement?

Or that selective racial stereotyping is fine. No biggie... nothing to see here.

But racial stereotyping that does NOT come from the left should be called out immediately, denounced, and everyone branded as "racist".

I haven't paid a ton of attention to the issue but isn't it just a matter of degrees? The University felt that the student that used the n word in the video and purportedly cursed out her RA committed a worse act than the saltine cracker photoshop? Do we know definitively if there was any consequence for the photoshop girl? What would you suggest her punishment be?

Angus and District seem to believe there’s no real difference between a student suggesting an RA is racially inferior and mocking a Twitter troll.

For Immediate Release: The Wake Forest Review's response to Wake Forest University's statement on our recent article

The recent statement by Wake Forest University is incredibly disappointing. Conservative students across the country are faced with discriminatory actions like this every day. By not addressing the issue, and blaming it on an "oversimplification of a complex situation", Wake Forest has neglected to take any form of responsibility for their actions and inability to treat all students fairly.

Based on this response from Wake Forest University regarding the incident involving Digital Director Ryan Wolfe, the Wake Forest Review asks that the University change its Code of Conduct to be in line with the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

While we do condemn hateful and bigoted speech, we respect, support, and defend the free speech rights of all Wake Forest students. The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education has given Wake Forest a red light rating due to their strict campus posting and verbal abuse and harassment policies. This incident shows that University Administrators cannot be trusted in equally enforcing content-based speech policies.

i thought this was about being called a racist name

And Ph seems to believe that it would be OK if a white student showed up to a speech by a black student and handed them a watermelon.

The recent statement by Wake Forest University is incredibly disappointingAS WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SAY ANYTHING WE WANT ABOUT HATEFUL, UNAMERICAN, COMMIE LIBS, GAYS BUT NO ONE SHOULD BE MEAN TO US. Conservative students across the country are faced with discriminatory actions like this every day. Weird that they are complaining about strict abuse policies when they say they want strict abuse policies.

it's only the same in that they are both mechanical actions handing someone food. that's pretty much where the comparison ends

Except of course that both are foods that are negatively associated with the receiver's race.
