True. Watching the game, it was clear that ND runs the most boring and "traditional" offenses in the country and they put up big yards against the holes. They also almost lost to a god awful VT team a few weeks ago... I feel like they are not as good as their ranking and hope that Carolina is beat up and demoralized coming into a Noon game at home in front of a bad home crowd. I'm still nervous about this one due to Howell's ability to scramble and run.
 
It will be very similar to the Louisville game but Howell is better than Cunningham. He’s gonna make plays - just have to limit them and force him into some bad throws. We are a better team this year but will still have to play very well and execute- no Turnovers and limit penalties. Let’s all remind ourselves that this isn’t a conference game and it is not our super bowl this year. If we lose, we are still in drivers seat to win the ACC. Let’s not all go off the rails if we drop this one.

F that, we've gotta beat these scumbags. They'll hold it over our head forever if we don't. Every week is a super bowl now, that's what happens when you become one of the big boys and why it's so hard to stay there.
 
feel like UNC is a high ceiling/low floor for any particular game and you never know which one you are going to get. Could see this game being a 45-42 shoot out or just as easily I can see us winning by 2 touchdowns or more.

I mean, no. Every game is our super bowl from here on out. If we go undefeated, then we play in the CFP. If we lose one of the next 3, we don't.

Fuck that noise. We need to go 4-0.

Biggest game in program history since at least the Orange Bowl (one could argue that the ACCCG was a bigger game than the Orange Bowl)

The NC State game will be a 6-day hold, right? Otherwise we will know that game's time/network in a couple of hours.
 
Deacs have to win out at this point, otherwise, I feel everyone who says Wake doesn't belong will say "I told you so", even if we have only 1 or 2 losses. Which is bullshit. Fuck the media and fuck UNC!

The tables have definitely turned - they are playing the upset spoiler ruining our season and despite what Mack says - they will be very motivated for this game- probably more so than the State game because State isn’t in the CFP conversation. Opposite of how many of us envisioned it 3 months ago.

I mean yeah, there would be some and I certainly would love to see us win out. However, honestly who cares? If we go 11-1 or even 10-2 in the regular season that is incredible for this program and all of us need to embrace and enjoy it and don't let anyone take anything away from it.

If we were 7-1 right now sure I think everyone gets on board with this thinking. 8-0 and top 10 ranking with a stretch of winnable games ahead changes the equation considerably. This is a once-in-a-lifetime shot. It’ll still be a hugely successful season regardless and we’ll all probably be happy with the result when the dust settles but will be hard not to imagine what could have been.
