Of course social media doesn't fully represent the national populace, but judging from social media posts today there is not only genuine outrage over this impending decision at our Far-Right Supreme Court and the GOP and Religious Right, but there is also growing anger at Democrats for not doing more to openly fight all of this. When this decision becomes official this summer there is definitely going to be growing pressure on the Democrats to speak up more and take a more combative stance, in Congress and elsewhere.
After the primaries are over. What are your choices then?
So what do we think president “X” would be doing with the current congressional makeup that Biden isn’t?
President Bernie Sanders would have made West Virginia his second home for the last year and had no problem getting down in the mud to get shit done.
Manchin would’ve already flipped.
Cool and what would have changed? A few less judges? Democrats would be campaigning this fall in a much stronger position than they are now if that had happened. Manchin is the bad guy, not the complacent Democratic leadership.
Judges are pretty damn important.
But was it worth losing the 2022 midterms? Because that’s the trade off the Dems made. They look way better if Manchin switches, than they do now.
There is also the chance he doesn’t switch because he wants his families dirty secrets to be remained buried. But we’ll never know because the Democratic leadership is the perfect combination of cowardly and corrupt.
Getting even less done, inevitable inflation, etc…doubtful recipe for midterm success.
Are you asking if it's worth losing the Senate majority for sure to possibly lose the 2022 midterms?
What have they done to move the political needle? Biden hadn’t accomplished 10% of what he promised. Judges aren’t sexy.
You clearly haven't learned the lesson. Judges are sexy as hell to conservatives. Judges need to be sexy to the left.
