You think 'luck' is the 'only' thing that would allow a team with last year's talent to rack up 10 wins? There were 4 losses to teams with RPI's of lower than 200... Presby, UNCW, Winthrop, and Stetson...

I'm sorry... You post some insane things; but this that's just over the top...
 
You don't know that.....and notice I didn't say Bzdeik did a good job. All i'm saying is there's no way to honestly detrermine how he did last year.

What a joke (and such classic RJ-victimization).

"Only luck" would have meant 10 wins; but defending the guy who won 8 (against a schedule with 16 triple-digit RPI teams on it) doesn't insinuate that you're praising his performance... riiiiiiiight.
 
Remember the whole "the biggest improvement a player makes is between his freshman and sophomore years" thing? Shouldn't that mean that if we, you know, have players developing that our 3 sophomores should be better than last year?

If that isn't the case, that pretty much has to be laid at the feet of Coach [Redacted].

There is a way to "honestly determine how he did last year".

We won a total of eight games last season.
 
Unless Carson improves dramatically, this season is in deep shit. We have no size and no depth.

Travis will add to his stats as will Tony.

Our point differential was almost exactly what you would expect for an 8-24 team playing against the schedule that we did, fwiw.
 
Being handed a totally dysfunctional team, filled with players who refused any personal responsibility makes you do those things.....Dino has hope for another job because he was fired.

Yeah, a 35 point loss to a 13-17 Georgia Tech team is exactly what one would have expected. How about the 10 point home loss to a 8-23 Atlantic Sun team or the 12 point "neutral court" loss to a 13-18 CAA team or the 9 point home loss to a 13-17 Big South team?

Pull your hand out of the sand. We sucked last season, and [Redacted] was a part of it. Of course there's no objective way to prove it, but do you really think that that team couldn't have done better than a -10 point differential against a weak out of conference schedule and an historically weak ACC?
 
I've gone ahead and canceled my WF basketball updates from the Sportstacular app. I don't want to take the chance of ruining my night by finding out we are down 15 at the half to Loyola.
 
We may not be able to play but we will look maaavolous...
 
Best case scenario, I don't see us winning more than 5 or 6 games to awful competition, and extending this clusterfuck out several more years. However, if we lose every single game this year, I don't think even Wellman could justify keeping Bzz around, and are we actually going to get any enjoyment out of those handful of putrid wins? Therefore, I will not be disappointed if we lose every single game. Rip off the bandaid and get it over with. Will Suck for Luck.

I'm sorry, but what?

I found the most comparable season I could (based on SOS & record) to compare our record and point differential to.

2001/2002 UNC : 7-19 (Total Point Differential : -187)
2010/2011 WFU : 8-24 (Total Point Differential : -322)

Divided out per game, that's still a +30% difference in average margin of defeat.

I'm just confused by what you mean by 'differential you would expect'... In a lot of ways, last season was even worse than the record would indicate.
 
All I am saying is DO NOT LOSE to Loyola, HPU, GWEBB,GA Southern, NCCU,UNCW or Wofford! Despite the bullshit going on in the BBall program, any coach should beat these teams....NO EXCUSES!
