MBB Game 8: @ The Wisconsin Badgers: Tuesday 9pm ESPNU

The Bally Sports+ app is new this year. It is different than from when you could log into the site in past years.
I'll probably subscribe for a few months then drop it. I pay for too many other streaming services. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu/ESPN+/Disney+, Paramount+, Peacock. I think that about covers it.

I'm more excited to see Bobi start to use his size and athleticism to get to the basket and generate easy shots than for his 3s to start dropping. He's shown flashes that make me think he's close, the game just needs to slow down for him a little.
I agree. If Tyree and DM (and Williamson) can keep hitting 3s, Bobi’s skills inside the arch will only help keep the outside open for the aforementioned shooters.

Hmmm...looks like I can pick Bally Sports South or Bally Sports Southeast. If I decide to pay for a full year, does anyone know if both include Braves games?

Not really the right thread for it but regarding streaming options for Friday’s game. I see Bally has a stand-alone app now that you can subscribe to for $20/month. Will that allow me to watch the game? Much better and more flexible option if so.
Isn’t it probably less expensive to just get cable?

If memory serves, it actually alternates between the two unfortunately.

Haven't been as impressed with a Deac's BB win like last night in years. You just couldn't believe when they went down by 6 with 3 and change to to play in Wisconsin they would pull it out.
Impressive win all around.

I mean Not only was it a gutty road win against a good team, but a good team that was shooting lights out and got lucky

F Bally. I pay already for enough streaming/TV shit...not going to pay 20 bucks a month more. Radio it'll be for me the these games.

A few postgame thoughts.

I thought Wisconsin was kind of dirty. I can't believe the hook and pull bullshit move wasn't called, and instead Carr got the foul. Any Wisconsin fans who think Wake got the benefit of the officiating, especially in the second half, are delusional.

I know there are some complaints about Forbes' in-game coaching (like the timeout he really should have used to avoid when Appleby was stuck), but he's a master of his own roster. He's so good at playing to matchups and adjusting. For example, Carr has been our second best player in multiple games but only played 15 minutes last night. Some of that was foul trouble, but a lot of it was matchups.

Marsh is really starting to develop into a weapon on both ends of the floor. When he's not in, I like Keller over Bradford. Keller can shoot and he's obviously a lot quicker.

For $20 a month? I guess the appeal is that it’s a pretty cheap option that you can do monthly. We already have Hulu Live which has literally everything I need other than these games.

Being there, it felt like this saved us. One was Forbes calling TO when Wisconsin was on their crazy Chucky run. Then the media timeout. It took just a little bit out of what was a pretty good crowd and we came back more poised.

That was a great timeout. Coaches are often prone to waiting for the TV timeout to stop the bleeding. No. Just go ahead and take it.

they had nine points on 3 threes that had no business going in. and wake still won

Bradford has been a disappointment so far. Seems kind of soft for a big guy.

Who cares. A shot can be a bad shot.
When Monsanto shoots, it maybe an ill advised shot, but it’s rarely a low percentage shot. Dude is a pure shooter and needs to shoot. He opens up the floor for the rest of the team just by being on the floor.

Double timeouts suck as a fan watching on TV but it’s brilliant on the road after giving up a lead on a 10-2 run especially when you need your best player to play all 40 minutes.
