MBB Game 9: Clemson Tigers at Littlejohn - Friday 7 pm

Team barely had time to unpack after returning from Wisconsin before having to get on the buses to Clemson. I suspect the team ran out of gas. Shooting looked like it.

So, packing is now an issue?

Somehow, I just don't think this was an issue with John Wooden, Dean Smith or Coach K. Maybe I'm reaching here but I don't recall the logistics of packing being a cause of concern.
 
clem's son also played in the B1G Challenge.

If Clemson is 27 points better than us in a half, then we are L'ville level bad. Poor Wake Forest we had a great win at Wisc, Clemson had to play a double OT game to get past Clemson.

Let's not make excuses, the players fell apart and the coaches failed them as well. This was a team effort.

Sadly, those coaches would have called a TO in the 1st 1-2 min of the second half. This team has not been together long enough to 'work it out on the court'.
 
The ACC sucks this year except for about 5 teams, and we’re not one of them. Forbes is a stop gap coach who can’t recruit American high school players.
 
More picking through the stats. Clemson had 19 TOs we had 11. I recall us winning a game where we had 20+ TOs

Clemson was home for their challenge game. So no travel after that game. No travel to get to the Wake game. Wake traveled for both games.
 
Ok, let's get all our excuses lined up.
  • App St. well we were on exams, so rusty (close win)
  • LSU - we never play well in Atlanta

I'm sure the stats are there, but our worst loss under Forbes was at VT, 84-46. Despite, everything, we haven't lost a game by 27 points. Possible we could have lost a half by 27 but I doubt it. This is an epic level loss in the vein of DM and Bzz.
 
This is the most embarrassing performance in a while. This is bball version of Louisville game this year. Disgusting loss. Shameful coaching and pitiful response from players.

Never mind that they killed thousands of seats (and wasted space) in the 60million+ complete overall 5 years ago. There are under 9k seats for basketball. But hey Wake Forest….keep sitting in your den with your dog and trying to see the world through google while your wife is yelling at you.

Venues matter in college basketball. It’s a mainstream view except at LOWF.
 
Haven’t seen the full postgame quotes from Forbes but saw several references to players needing to play better, tougher, etc but nothing about coaching. He got absolutely owned once again my Brad freakin Brownell. Some accountability would be nice. Apologies if I missed him owning up to being boatraced, but that was pathetic in game coaching which has been a trend especially against mediocre competition on the road. Wanted to vomit when he was quoted that Clemson is an unbelievable team.

Why is my wife yelling at me? Did the dog shit on the carpet again? But she’s the one that wanted the dog in the first place.

He can’t get anyone to live with him, including a dog, so now he has decided that:
  • lonely,
  • miserable,
  • chasing ambulances,
  • scalping tickets, and
  • dropping $200 in a night at the strip club and thinking that makes you a baller
is the way to live
 
Well clearly that's turned Clemson into a basketball powerhouse.. oh wait!
 
Well, that was lovely! Our guys looked liked they were facing a firing squad and tried to duck, coaches looked like they felt this coming. I felt like I was transported back in time to the Manning years, God I hate myself!
 
After the win at WI, I felt better about the hoops team. Going to Clem and playing one half very well and then staying in the locker room for the second half really sucks because WF has done poorly there vs Brownell squads and I thought we may get a good road W vs an ACC foe. I think most WF will agree that the shitty end to the FB season had us hoping for the basketball team to help us get over it, but having the basketball team play poorly only makes it worse
