MBB Game 16: L'ville @ The KFC Yum Center: Saturday 3 pm - ACCN

I thought the reffing and commentary both deteriorated as the game went along. Didn't find the reffing too offensive until the 10 minute mark or so of the second half. Commentary was just bizarre...weird language surrounding Damari on multiple occasions and then over the top criticism where the guy acted like Damari was out there pulling his pants down after making a three. Really weird behavior from the color commentator.
 
Critiques Monsanto shushing the crowd while calling him “brother”
 
This team does not panic (and previous Forbes teams) if the score gets close late in the game. Manning and Bz teams would have lost that game after blowing a large lead due to mental weakness.
 
Happy for a win tonight. I only saw the second half but man! the reffing was simply awful down the stretch. Who were these clowns? The missed call seemed to be the norm for them.

Yeah they do. Thus all the turnovers at UNC. I assume panic happened vs. LSU as well.

Our football and basketball teams have finally gotten to the point of achieving some regular in-game success. The next task is to learn how to handle it.
 
Just circling back because I can't stop thinking about it...the color commentator really just came after Damari multiple times during the game which was super strange. "Irrationally confident" in the first half and kept repeating it and then the end of game situation when he looked at the crowd. Just rubbed me the wrong way. I don't know man keep it together and keep your personal Duke-centric feelings off the broadcast

yeah, i hope Forbes says something to ACCN about it

really gross comments and throughout the entire game
 
Dropped four spots in KP from 81 to 85 from this morning. Louisville somehow down 16 spots which I imagine is teams around them performing well and each additional game that gets thrown in removes more preseason anchoring which is the major reason I'd imagine Louisville isn't in the 300s in KP like they are in Torvik and NET
 
Commentating was a bit weird. Overly praiseworthy of Kenny Payne, who clearly doesn't have his team playing well at all this season and by all indications is in over his head. Then a long diatribe about some girl FSU hoops player who I don't think they even named specifically. Just talked about how she can score and how she said she'd score 15ppg for the men's team (yeah right). I caught the irrationally confident description at the end and thought that was actually a pretty good description of Damari.

Williamson with some huge blunders down the stretch that resulted in that run.

Yeah I'm at the point now wherre I only ever notice commentary that is either good (insightful, providing analysis that doesn't get made normally, referencing metrics, funny) or just outside the ordinary (weird comments, overly critical, doesn't remotely match reality) and this fell pretty strongly into the latter on how weird things got overall.

the ACCN won't give a flying fig. They're just happy to employ anybody. Seriously. The ACCN productions are maybe a step above whoever the hell shoots the Wake Forest commercials. Maybe.
 
Monsanto is around a .390 shooter from deep at Wake, bad shots and all. The stats don’t show his confidence is irrational.

you guys really gotta go no sound for games, at least until the end of close games

so few are with listening to, especially in college sports
