MBB Game 20: Pitt Panthers @ The Petersen Events Center - Wednesday - 7 pm - ACCN

I love Wake Forest. Have since before I can remember. Im almost 39. I have a good life, an amazing wife, an 8 month old son and a job that I find fulfilling. I have a great family and a great network of friends.
I do not want to spend the rest of my life pulling for these redundant, pitiful programs that we - for God knows what reason - actually think are relevant. I don’t need the stress. These games ruin my weeks. I think this is it for me

Lot to say here. I've been a staunch Forbes supporter this year. And I've never been more disappointed in him until tonight. This game was managed terribly, the lineups were bad, offense was atrocious. In a must win game, up 10 at half we did not show up.

Individually: Cam was atrocious, not sure I'd play him another minute this year. We need Damari, I know we hate his defense, but our offense is so stagnant its so hard to watch. He's the only one who can save us. Boopie is done. Not sure what happened but he's ass now. Efton and Carr are great. They play hard and I love what they bring. Sallis is Sallis, he's good but he can't do it all. Without Boopie being what he was for a month it's tough on him.

I harp on our weak OOC. For the first time I think I've gotten hoodwinked. Each year we get to January with a good record, win a few ACC games, get on the bubble. Then we flat out fucking suck. Not even like like mediocre, we fucking suck. I will be shocked if we finish at 10-10. I could see it in the teams eyes tonight. They are quitting. When Pitt took the lead, same as State there was literally no fight. The game was over. It sucks but I think I found out tonight this team doesn't have it, and quite honestly after watching a ton of CBB we aren't even that fucking close. We are a joke. Until we win 6 conference games in a row or beat 3-4 tourney teams I don't see why anyone would even give a fuck about us at all.


ETA: I will be there saturday and I love this team etc, but I am really really disappointed in them.

Not gonna tell anyone how to live their life, but if you are truly done rooting for wake forest after losing an away basketball game on a Wednesday, then get the fuck out. We dont need ya.

This is what I've been complaining about for the last 3 weeks. Why don't we have set plays for our 3-pt shooters and for Reid & Carr down low. The unforced turnovers where we just lose the ball. So incredibly frustrating ...

If Monsanto is in the game, we need to go zone. Hell, we probably need to be in a zone whenever Boopie is trying to guard a bigger guard. He's gotten his lunch taken time after time. What happened to his quickness?
 
All four of these consecutive road losses we have looked like the Danny Manning Deacons, and that is a terrible indictment of the job Forbes is doing. We are physically and mentally soft on both ends of the floor.

Can we ban Deac03 so he doesn't have to spend his life rooting for such pitifulness. He's 39 for god sakes with child!!!!

I agree that a zone can work. More importantly, switching to a zone to take advantage of our lineup or theirs is coaching 101. It doesn’t have to be an all or nothing situation. Play man v. man the majority of the time, but throw in some zone when they constantly cook us from midrange after a basic screen and curl. This has been happening all year long. JFC, Elon exposed our drop coverage early this year. Of course teams are going to see it on film and do the same thing.

I do not understand why we stick to the game plan when it’s clearly not working. Maybe Forbes and Clawson are spending too much time with each other.
